LOL...I was going to say something like that but I decided to be vague & tactful. But that's why, when he finally says something on the record, that I generally take it as gospel....But I can understand the love they give him. During Universal's dark days he gave them a lot of really good reviews that they still use to this day.

He probably has great numbers in readership of his website plus he has probably been a good friend of UOR for a long time. Time and loyalty buy a lot.

And it's good to see loyalty in business. That's an attribute that's too often overlooked.

Robert Niles of TPI had an article a couple of weeks ago. His Universal sources are generally trustworthy and he generally only releases info when he's sure of it (or has been given the OK). He said he's just seen the blueprints and the scene after the huge screens scene include a massive Kong AA. from Niles, "Kong appears on the right side of the ride track as the ride vehicle curves along Kong to their right, allowing a long moment with the Big Ape". So, he's saying you're still in the tram when the Kong AA makes it's appearance. In this scenario, it would clearly be before the riders disembark from the vehicle.

The scene with the 360 dome is Scene 5. As I said before Scene 6 is the unload. It will be "Swampy" and will feature the Kong AA. Scene 7 is the Postshow where you will walk a big walk to get to the exit.

Oh and here's a piece of info: Scene 5 has a 360 dome and is labeled "KONG". Scene 4B has what appears to be a half dome (one of the Gringotts screens).
Finally, Scene 4A has 3 projectors and will (as Treebin and I said before) will be bug projections that attack your vehicle.

Lastly as a gift to you all, Scene 4A will also feature 3-5 bug AA's.

That seems to clarify the AA scene. So, it will be before the walk through post show according to what you & Niles are saying.

Another interesting aspect is that there will be 4 light-shielding automatic doors in the dark ride portions of this attraction, two just to get into the building. (as they are all double doors, there will actually be 8 doors total.

Love the detailed ride descriptions....thanks guys.

My excitement for this ride is back on as well. I was worried that this would be Kong 360 revisited. My only apprehension now is the ride vehicles.......I really wish that these were Indiana Jones/Dinosaur jeep style vehicles.

Hmmm... it would be interesting to find out who is manufacturing the ride vehicles. That could tell us how elaborate they might be. I hope they are themed as run-down and rustic.

I wonder if Oceaneering or Kuka is designing them...

I also wonder the speed of this ride...hopefully not Ellen's Energy Adventure slow

Not really sure why slow speed is a problem. The park needs a big, long people eater.

Ahhh....Ellen's Energy Adventure......always liked going on that ride after lunch when I needed a nap.

As far as Kong goes.....I'm not concerned about the speed of the vehicles. I'm more concerned with the overall ride experience and show. Hopefully, whatever they are they will look great, feel great, and maybe even surprise us.

This is the problem Universal has created. Everyone expects every ride to be some high intensity based ride with an insane RV.

Sure, rides like that are great, but there's something to be said for a slower moving ride where you can truly appreciate the full experience more.

Agreed. I'd like it to be slow moving so that all of these scenes, which appear to be fantastic, can be fully experienced & enjoyed. In fact, the speed of JP River Adventure would probably be just right. I envision this as a fun entertaining attraction, not a thrill ride based on speed. The thrill of the Kong encounters & the giant insect scenes should be sufficient thrills.

That's about what I was expecting, JPRA speed..I just hope it is even...that is where Gringotts really kind of fails

I would have liked a little more time in front of the Gringott's scenes to take it all in and enjoy the scenes. That's probably partially why Gringott's is better with repeat rides since there is so much to see that you miss so much initially. Hope Kong has a bit longer ride time wise.
