So I just heard a bit of the plot of Kong: Skull Island (Legendary Films movie) They really want us to feel for the big guy. Chemical induced gigantism and a blonde American mommy figure for the baby big guy.

Chemical induced? I don't like the sound of that. The tragedy of Kong is that he's the last of his kind. The only emotional moment that really works in PJ's film is when you see the skeletons of his ancestors.

Agreed, that's why I'm not really for skull island. The mystery of skull island is what made it one of the most interesting settings in film history. To make it all sci fi with a chemical explanation is beyond dumb. However mama kong is an awesome idea, hopefully kong will be a baby gorilla in this movie, that would be adorable

Yeah, the premise is an earlier expedition from a Chemical Co. went wrong and spilled chemicals that cause King's gigantism. They also left a pretty blonde American woman that resembles Anne Darrow that becomes the chemically altered Kong's mother figure.

Love the aerial image! The scope of this attraction really blows me away, and I cannot wait to see more! The facade is looking gorgeous, but I have to agree with another user that a water feature of some kind would definitely give it more life.
That being said I have to agree - that sounds like an awful plan of direction for the film and makes me much less excited for now. Hopefully something changes or something was misconstrued because it could be something special if they do it right.

Visited today and came back with some shots of the facade work. The long face looks really cool in person and the color of the left-side really pops! Loving the blue hue and dark aspects of the rockwork. Some pics are below and more can be seen here!

I love the way the bricks get bigger as they get closer to the ground to create a forced perspective effect. See the image below to see what I mean.

Not too sure what these two next things are. One looks like a maintenance shed and the other a utility room, but they're way up high on the roof. Anyone have any ideas?

That's all for now. Lots more pics from today on my blog as well.

Those are RTU, roof top unit, just very large air handlers. They are generally cooled by a cold water source, like a chiller tower..
I have worked inside many of these.

the one and only question i have of this ride is how big the AA will be and if it will be as big as the Kong from the old ride, that's the only thing i am curious about, nothing else
not sure if it has been talked about but it is driving me crazy,

You bring up a good point. Everyone assumes it will be big. But how big will it be in comparison to the old Kong? The old Kong was massive, and completely awesome.

Kong will be constructed as if he is 30' tall... however, I am not sure if all of him (legs) will be visible or what his posture will be. So, he will be movie size.

The top of this temple looks so epic I adore it. Can anybody conform being able to see it from the lagoon? Heard it was supposed to be apart of the skyline
