I’ve heard those are going the way of the dodo next year. But, we’ll see.

I've also heard this, and I imagine the lockers are a pretty big reason why.

”In an effort to go green, we will ensure guests collect soda using their hands and not cups.”

There is an argument to be made that single-use, compostable cups are better for the environment than the cheap, plastic refillable cups. But if Knott's makes that argument, it's only to support a decision they already wanted to make.

I personally don’t care because I don’t like the plastic cups anyway. It encourages me to drink more soda which I try to avoid. Besides it’s extra baggage I don’t like lugging around with me.

Thankfully I won’t be effects by the lockers much as I just stuff everything into my pockets, but that sucks for people who need to bring a small bag.

I just know if I ever purchased the plan with the plastic souvenir cup I'd forget it almost every time, much like I forgot the Scary Farm lantern about 50% of the time I went :lmao:

Get the paper cup plan. Carrying that plastic bottle around is the worst. Remembering to bring it is even worse.

I tried the paper cup plan, but 1) it just feels so wasteful to be throwing away so many cups, and 2) I don't like they're a lot smaller, so I'd have to get more refills to equal what I'd get with the mug, and 3) I like being able to carry around remaining soda without needing to feel like I have to drink it all at once, and not worry about spilling it.

I mean, if they do get rid of mugs, I'll have to adapt. But it's not my first choice. My SF Membership already hinted that mugs will be coming for next year, so it doesn't sound like they're getting rid of them yet.
