Also, I have to check, but I don't remember the car being pink.

At least they've got returning voice talent, so that's a plus. But we better see Lilo hit Myrtle & bite her after the mom comment, complete with stitch whipping out the camera

Could be this September depending on how much they got done before the strikes. It think if they're desperate enough to reconfigure a tv show into a movie, then there's no reason to keep it on streaming (unless it's bad).

Probably the fact that Stitch is a very popular character, especially in Asia.

The same reason why most films are no longer going straight to streaming....The studios has to take up the full production costs while with theatrical they can still get some money from the theatres

Yeah, Disney Streaming just became profitable for the first time and a big part of that (on top of price hikes) is no shelling out $100M-$200M just to throw a film straight to streaming anymore.

Disney+ has only released eight D+ original films since the beginning of 2023 and only two this year. Daisy Ridley's Young Woman And The Sea was just recently released and while being a Disney+ film, even that film had a small theatrical run.

The few bits of crossover advertising I've seen for this film are honestly kind of a charming throwback to the marketing for the original. Still not going to see this one, but a cute marketing move regardless and pretty different from the modern Disney status quo.

Hope we see Cinderella's Castle TP'd again too haha!
