Spoiler: MU speculation spoilers

I think the way to square this with the fact that Phantom is an AA is to assume that one or two Frank/Victoria/Drac appearances are screens. That gives room for Phantom and maybe one or two of the Bride of Dracula AAs.

I do like this idea but I don't think it's the case based on the language MaxRebo used below, making it sound like everyone he listed was a physical figure and none of his list included screen appearances. My new bet is Ygor is a static figure positioned behind the control panel so we don't see that his hands aren't moving as he's looking down at and operating the panel. I doubt the Brides are AAs, I'm betting they're more mannequins on (KUKA?) arms like the Forbidden Journey dementors.

I’d also just like to make a character list of who is in the ride and who isn’t for people who’d like to know. This will tell you who appears and how many time’s approximately in animatronic form.

Surprisingly no Bride or invisible man at all in the ride. Some of these may be static figures but with so many not working it’s hard to tell.

Can I ask about the strobing in the queue? How bad was it if you're sensitive to light? I get migraines from strobes in low light so I'm as low risk at they come. Just need to know if I should take a preventative beforehand or if it's like...FLASH your done lol.

Although this ride has a single riders line the pre show is almost worth going through the full line each time. Seriously impressive stuff going on before you even get on the ride.


There's a heat blast in one of Dracula's scenes but I don't recall fire being seen yet.

You do get what I'm pretty sure is Wolfman slobber spat you in one scene. So that's nice.

Ygor is a animatronic, he’s shining a flashlight around and talking, some of the brides can definitely be mannequins, they were some of the ones that didn’t work.

The electrical wires in the queue strobe almost constantly. They aren't the only lights on so its not full strobe but it is constant in several rooms.

Very early in the ride you pass by a scene with vines/roots...then the vehicle tilts downwards and the Creature animatronic we've seen in the video is reaching out towards you. The setting didn't feel appropriate for Creature unfortunately and he only appears once on the ride.

Creature unfortunately feels shoehorned into the ride. I would’ve just waited until that alleged boat ride if they were planning on incorporating him

I certainly hope so...the ride in general has a LOT of light leak issues. There are moments when the ride vehicle is pointed towards black walls and curtains, and you can see a lot of the mechanics of the animatronics. I wonder if it's a consequence of the many LED screens in show scenes?

I have to say that my favorite Monster on the ride has to be Phantom. That fire organ is seriously so cool and the way he looks back at the vehicle and gives a little wave makes me a want a slow moving monster ride where you pass by scenes like that one.

That's why I mentioned they'll likely be adjustments to the ride profile between now opening. There's definitely some areas where the ride vehicle seems to point directly at things it shouldn't.

You can also tell in some areas where black cloth hasn't been wrapped around some components for the AAs and you can see the bare mechanism behind it.

I have to say that my favorite Monster on the ride has to be Phantom. That fire organ is seriously so cool and the way he looks back at the vehicle and gives a little wave makes me a want a slow moving monster ride where you pass by scenes like that one.

It wasn't moving earlier in the day but I only expected him to play the organ. Later that day it was working correctly I was startled so bad when he turned around like that. Freaking amazing!

With the Phantom animatronic, how closely does he resemble the Chaney version and what updates have been made to his design? Also, are different areas themed to different monsters, like does the place where the mummy is have an Egyptian theme?

it’s like a updated version of the Chaney version i would say, no mask and you only see him for a second or two full face.and yes for the most part they’re themed to the monster besides creature.

Awesome! Have there been any changes to the animatronics since the reveal video? I’ve kind of been hoping that they would style the Wolfman‘s and Dracula‘s hair more

Not that I’ve seen in my 10 rides, though today I did see some new stuff I hadn’t seen before. Slowly getting there, new light effects and a new figure I haven’t seen

It was a bride of Dracula that came down on a wire in a scene with Frankensteins monster towards the end. Basically a static figure

Kind of a weird one but I’m so very curious

The Statue of Liberty head on Spider-Man scares the sh*t out of me and I can’t even look at the FJ dragon, everything else in the parks is fine with me, I’m very excited for this ride and can’t wait to see it, based on this is there anything that I might absolutely hate on this ride?
