I had an idea once to retheme Storm Force to Deadpool and call it “Deadpool’s Sit & Spin.” Maybe have a queue video where he hypes up the ride to a hilariously outrageous degree.
lol, Good one, my idea for a retheme for storm force was to a stark arc reactor.

If Uni ends up with WB and the DC rights down the line maybe theres a consideration to dropping Marvel. Can't remember if the contract allows for the competing IP.

But there's a lot of ifs and maybes in there.

Perhaps there are loopholes in the contract to hypothetically use DC at Universal if getting the WB assets came to pass, like basing it on the DCU if that manages to take off.

They already have once, in a post-Disney-owned world. No reason why they can't again.

Just checked. 2011 was when they made the change.

How dare you come at us with facts and actual news-based articles. (sarcasm, just to be clear)

Marvel is a valuable IP for them to have and use, and it reduces the capabilities of what their competition can do, but on the other hand I don't see them building stuff up too much, because then you'd have to advertise a new ride/show/etc., which then support interest and potentially grows the value of your competition. It makes sense to upkeep and continue to use, but I doubt they'd do any major additions.

Well my first trip was 2016, so that explains why I never noticed lol

I personally dont believe that Pokemon would be the choice here but discuss away

There's no way on earth Universal Orlando would replace MSHI. MSHI is very profitable for Universal and to replace it would be giving WDW free rein to create a Marvel universe with characters they previously couldn't use. Spider-Man ride there is still awesome and I still like the comic book version in that area.

As others have noted, theres no reason for uni to give this up at all. I wish the land would get a bit of a facelift like Hulk did but still stay tied to its comic book style.

We all know that Hulk will be replaced by Wicked and with the new movie coming out /s

Jokes aside.

I think the current resorts are in bad bad shape.

Sure, Epic Universe is opening soon but that's only going to make the current resort look even worse. MSHI, TL and Suess are basically untouched in over 25 years.

I'd like to think that Universal are waiting for the new phase of the MCU with Fantastic 4 and X men to do something with MSHI, but I just don't see it and with everything else rumoured and in the pipeline, I don't see MSHI getting any love for a long time. It's a huge waste of potential.

Are you saying bad shape because it’s out of date then? Because I think that’s a harsh critique of IOA.

I mean they’re frequently touched up, do you mean changed and upgraded?
Yeah, the park is actually looking great right now. They've done recent refurbs on most of Suess and recently repainted most of the park. They also have been slowly upgrading the food options all around the park (hopefully Marvel is next) and returning missing effects throughout the park. Some things are still missing (some interactive things in MSHI like the Doomnet Communication Device and the Suess Landing entrance arch are the big ones) but I am confident they will return in the future. Only thing is I feel like they are in a constant battle with the concrete in MSHI with the amount of construction walls that randomly go up in there and I feel like it is one they are not winning.
