for what it's worth, universal officials have said that WaterWorld is not closing. you'll note there's no time horizon there, so the statement is basically meaningless. yes, it's not closing tomorrow, but their statement could still be true if they plan to close WaterWorld in 2, 5 or 10 years. so, who knows.

Yeah, I read that earlier. Just corporate speak, same as when Woodbury this week said they have lots of stuff in the planning stage. Of course, no specifics were given on any of that. Just BS to try and take the negative comments away.

Aren’t you jumping to conclusions a little ?

I don’t think anybody expects an executive to highlight negative aspects of their department.

Two things can be true at once and I think it’s a little odd to be so dismissive to fit your narrative.

Indeed. I'm more interested that they felt they had to say anything than I am interested in what they actually said.

With Woodbury saying more is in the pipeline for LA, I'm hoping at some point in 2026 after F&F comes online the rumor mill spins up about USH's future.

Yeah. I've been around long enough to know that without actual facts and numbers that corporate speak is kind of meaningless. And
there was a lot of negative blowback on the very popular Waterworld being omitted from their long range plan, so they probably felt they
needed to make an announcement, though that comment really didn't have much substance, or any facts, associated with it.....

I feel like universal just needs to upgrade things around the park, more actors/meet and greets. Better food options, more sit down areas/photo ops. the rides are one thing… but the rest is how you get people to come back.

I'm with you on that, for all of Universal & Disney parks. That's the stuff that makes parks more enjoyable and fun. Slow things down a bit and enjoy the ambiance. We spend as much time on that stuff as the attractions.
