Doesn't seem like anything special to me. It has a known brand name, lake front view, and luxury tag to help it prosper but nothing too special. My only real gripe is that they choose to build it out by Lake Buena Vista and not near South International Drive by the Convention Center.

OT for a minute... supposedly Disney is building college housing over at their failed Flamingo Crossing area and mover from current housing in LLB and Vista. This would keep them on-property so to speak and make it faster for the buses to get them to and from work. They filed permits last month or so.

Seriously, there goes probably the #1 wedding venue in SW Orlando.

Otherwise, what an odd brand for an otherwise nice-looking resort. Even in its heyday, Planet Hollywood stood for "Cap'n Crunch Chicken" more than "luxury." And how many restaurants are they down to with the Springs rebrand?

How many restaurants in the whole place? Not enough apparently as even though the restaurant count is pretty high, the waits are still stupid long.

Like what they did with Hardrock Cafe, they are simply trying to replicate their growing hotel chain. They failed at the restaurant aspect, as they went way too fast.

Sidenote, the Hardrock Theme Park should have been in Orlando or Tampa as part of the Casino and it would still be open today. Talk about lousy timing and complete location fail.
