I had never heard of the holiday overlays. Our inaugural trip to Disneyland is now being planned for 2013! Thanks for the inspiration
According to insiders PoTC is currently undergoing some queue work and will be the next major attraction to receive an interactive queue.
I like them. I like that Disney freshens up their old ride queues with newer tech. So far I haven't crossed an interactive queue I haven't liked.
I wouldn't mind them if there was any semblance of subtlety. The HM queue is terrible, and I shudder to think what will happen here.
I LOVE the HM queue. I like also that, should you not like it, you can simply avoid it all together.
I don't agree you can avoid it. While yes, you can choose to not see it, the obnoxious noises still invade the formerly atmospheric queue.
So this is going to be another Space Mountain queue? Walking by endless screens of games before arriving to the main queue line?
Pirates RARELY has a line over 30 minutes, this is much ado about nothing.
The Pirates queue is FANTASTIC as it is and constantly moving. Can't Disney spend money on something else?
In honor of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, I’m excited to have a bit of news to share on one of my all-time favorite attractions, Pirates of the Caribbean here at Magic Kingdom Park.
This classic Disney attraction, which inspired a four-part film franchise, has undergone a few changes in recent years due to the success of these movies. First, Captain Jack Sparrow made his debut at the attraction, then Captain Barbossa (pictured above) appeared aboard a pirate ship. More recently, the ghostly apparitions of knaves Davy Jones and Blackbeard have materialized.
Our friends at Walt Disney Imagineering dropped us a line today to let us know that something from the most recent film, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” is about to be added to the attraction here at Walt Disney World Resort. Can you guess what it is?
Updates to the attraction will be made overnight, so Pirates of the Caribbean will remain open to guests during park hours.
