Proposal Ideas during HHN

Hi all,

I'm planning on being at the second week of HHN this year and proposing to my boyfriend of four years while we're there. HHN 28 was both of our first times attending and it's been a tradition to go every year since. I'm floating around a few ideas on how to propose. 1. We both love VIVO so doing it there 2. Rooftop Bar 17 at Aventura where we'll be staying 3. Proposal at the scarezone at the entrance so you can see "Halloween Horror Night" lit up.

While any of those would be fine, I thought I would ask if anyone had any other ideas that could be fun or unique?

I've seen two proposals happen within HHN, and while it was pretty cool, there is so much going on between the crowds, noise, scare actors , etc. that it may be smarter to find a quiet place to do it rather than right in front of a scare zone. Perhaps somewhere like Central Park before they start loading it up for Marathon of Mayhem shows?

Other ideas that come to mind:
- VIP viewing area at Jimmy Fallon (if a TM can get you up there)
- The lagoon viewpoints at IOA (particularly Port of Entry or Lost Continent). Would look great at sunset I'm sure.
- The harbor of Portofino Bay
- Outside the Studios arches (if you can find a time that's not busy)
- Anywhere in Hogsmeade with the castle (if you're HP fans)
- NY section of the park during the day. Lots of quiet "side streets" if you want it more private, or the main strip for more public.

If you do an Unmasking the Horror your that gives you possible facades to propose in front of too if you care about the proposal being HHN related.

My biggest word of advice would be to give yourself lots of options and then just do the one that feels right at the time. I did similar years ago and the areas I assumed would be where I would do it didn’t “feel” right at the time. Then we were in a slightly isolated spot and talking and suddenly everything lined up.

Thought I'd give an update:

He said yes!

Didn't end up going with any of my original idea, but had an idea click on the day we flew in. We started the next day at IOA and on the way out our friends distracted my partner while I quickly filled in a photographer at the entrance with the plan. Right before the picture was taken, our friends stepped out of the frame, I got down on one knee and proposed right in front of the "The Adventure Begins" sign. I thought it was pretty fitting and made for a great start to our trip!

Congratulations! What a great proposal. I proposed to my now wife in front of the Christmas Tree after the Macy's Parade. Love reading about park proposals.

My husband and I has already mutually agreed... I love Halloween, and he loves Christmas, so we proposed to each other inside of Haunted Mansion Nightmare Before Chirstmas.

We asked guest relations, and they escorted us past the entire line right to the front, and we proposed in the elevator room. We expected to just leave after, but they let us ride with just the two of us in the elevator!
