I can't even tell you the amount of times my wife and I have gotten in the single rider line because the normal standby wait was astronomical

We use it at Universal often, though not much at Disney since Disney's SR waits are generally longer than Universals.

There is no such thing as single rider line abuse. It’s not an “I came to the park by myself” line, but calling it single riders is easier than calling it the “I don’t care if I sit next to the rest of my party” line.

No, I was referring to the ride cast members. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen them let pairs of people get on and sit together. I’ve overheard people in the single rider line complain that they are with someone else, and then watch the cast member go ahead and sit them together. Happens a lot on The Mummy.

I have no problems with groups of people getting in the single rider line and then riding separate from their party in order to reduce their wait time. But I don’t think it is fair for the cast members to sit them together because they complain about it while everybody else who wants to sit together has to wait in a much longer line.

I honestly don’t like this ride. It’s almost all screens. I’ve been on it with 3D and without it, and with 3D it sucks that you can’t see the physical sets, without 3D it sucks because you realize how barren everything is. The best parts of the ride are the physical parts, and there are barely any. This was kind of a lame use for the space they put it in.

It’s a great family ride that filled a huge void in Epcot’s lineup. And it’s only the 2nd screen ride in the park (Soarin). It’s been a great addition to the park.

An excellent addition to Epcot. The attraction is much better than I expected. It's lots of fun with a beautiful facade and courtyard. 3D is fine as long as the park it's in has decent attraction balance.

The only reason this gets a pass is because it was an actual addition*. We need more of these!

*Lookin at you Frozen, Guardians, Mission Space, Test Track, Body Wars, Caballeros, Journey, Nemo.

Wow that list is so sad.

I don’t understand the disdain for this ride.

I'm mixed-positive on the ride -- I wish there were more practical elements/fewer "get parked in front of a screen" moments, but it's enjoyable enough -- but I really like the new area it created behind France, which has very nice atmosphere (especially in the evening).

When standing near the exit to this ride I hear nothing but incredibly positive comments from families getting off the ride. Even this week when they had waited 70 min in the standby queue kids get off this ride excited and happy. It’s a people pleaser, especially in a park with duds like Figment or things too boring for kids like the 360 films.

It serves its purpose. If you want animatronics in your family ride in World Showcase we have Frozen in Norway. I think this is perfect to balance out the offerings. All we need now is a flat or two so families have even more to do together in this half of the park.

It's perfectly fine imo, and has some actively really solid elements to it. I do agree that the practical scenes are best appreciated without the glasses, and the 3D scenes could use some IoA Spidey-style vehicle movements to hide the bare floors and screen edges, but that's all stuff only theme park diehards are gonna really make a fuss about. It's a very solid addition to a park that really needed stuff like this.

Yeah, I think this is similar to Avengers Campus in DCA in that the best part of the addition is the food/area/meet and greets. I am higher on this ride than most, but there’s no doubt to me that the best part of the addition is the street.

Unbelievable!! What is that, a 3 or 4 hour wait? Would anyone here wait that long for Ratatouille?

So uh...what happened here? :lmao:

Were similarly popular rides like Frozen also seeing record waits? Were Frozen, Soarin, and Test Track all closed at the same time? Issues with throughput on Rat? I know it's Christmas week, but that's still pretty wild.

looks like it was over 90 minutes for the vast majority of the day without significant downtime at the other headliners. could be a throughput problem or,,, the rat’s just that damn good.
