They could use the space for a Jurassic Park dark ride.

If Jurassic World does well, it would be nice to make the lower lot a themed land. However, Transformers will make sure that doesn't happen.

Nahhh, I don't want Jurassic to take over the Mummy building. I don't like oversaturation of one franchise. I'd rather they save the big Mummy building for another franchise!

Nor a JAWS ride :(

...and I am afraid that IOA will be getting a superior Kong attraction!

i honestly think that mummy ride will go away next after potter opens. i know theres people that like this attraction but with a reboot on its way ,i think  we will see a re-theming of the ride,or a new ride all together . i do like the Jurassic park idea , and making it into a dark ride plus since the Jurassic world is going to put new life in the franchise it will be a good opportunity. well that's how i at least see it. As for the ride , im not a really big fan of the ride. it was nice to see it when it first open but since then i avoid it. and is it me or did universal half assed the ending effects?

The Mummy can stay...it just needs a heavy effects upgrade, that's all. It neesa projection effects similar to Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy added inside the coaster segment, and an all new ending.

Also, I'd personally slow the ride down JUUUST a bit (if that is possible) to increase the ride length time. It's way too short.

What's sad is that the ride building IS huge. It might seem small in composition to the Orlando version and because the ride length time is short, but it really IS a massive building. ET was a pretty damn big dark ride! Stick the Mummy into the Indiana Jones Show building and it will also be short. The park really frikin needs a ride like that.

yeah a very heavy effecs upgrade can do the job. maybe even extending the ride but they might as well do something else. i love the ghost galaxy idea it could be a perfect addition. but the ride as it stands its to short and half assed . i really hope they do something to this ride. and dont get me started in the queue  (just kidding :)  )

I like the idea of putting Ghost Galaxy-esque effects in the coaster portion. It would make the coaster look a lot better than it is now.

I would not mind the dark ride portion being slowed down a bit like it last was when it opened, but the coaster does not need to be slowed down. If possible, I would like to see the track layout altered to make it a bit faster with more airtime, but I know that's not practical. If they did, they could incorporate some tight turns like space Mountain to save on space and to make the ride feel faster than it is.

All you need is something very easy and already in place.  Add CO2 blasts over the track and add orange and red lights to simulate fire and smoke.  They did it during the original ending and they do it in Orlando.  Its a simple fix to add more eye candy during the speed portion of the ride.

You guys....CO2...plus Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy-type projection effects PLUS projection mapping technology. Boom.

If they did that, and brought the original ending as I loved the original ending, yea that'd be perfect.

Yes, an upgrade on the effects please. Or maybe they are thinking on adding the amber mine coaster from Jurassic Park like the one that will be built in Florida

That's what it looked like, yes. Good choice, IMO. The park needs more dark rides/adventure rides that aren't coasters.

Don't expect an amber mine coaster in our park.

this might throw people off but.. what about a Van Helsing Dark ride using the Old concept before HP came to IOA. It would work as your a extra in a movie (working with the lot for the line) so you be apart of Van Helsings adventure. just a idea but it could happen.

What we need right now are attractions suitable for all ages that appeal to most guests. Van Helsing doesn't have the same cult followings as The Simpsons, Harry Potter, and Despicable Me, and quite frankly, wouldn't it scare the crap out of little kids? The more family rides we can add to the roster, the better. Once the park has more land at the ready, it'd be more logical to step out of the comfort zone.
