I've heard on numerous occasions we will get DA, but time and time again the location has been just below FJ, with a relocation of the tram garages and loading area. I have also heard that we will see a land based on the classic monsters. Every discussion of it included the ROTM still be part of it, however as with anything at Universal currently... plans are changing on a regular basis. Personally I don't love ROTM, but I also don't hate it. I truly appreciate what they did with the space they had. Orlando's version is much better than ours, but space was on their side along with the budget.

I've heard differently, but time will tell for everything.

If DA were to go somewhere else, the only other option I see for Mummy would be Nintendo. With the current changes happening around Mummy, we just have to wait and see what moves next to gain a concept. Will it be a Studio Tour move? Will it be a Transformers Gift Shop move? Will something replace Starbucks when it moves? Too many questions still remain.

I don't think Diagon Alley will be replacing the Mummy. I'm hearing whispers about a Gyosphere roller coaster and retheming the immediate area up to Transformers to Jurassic World. Also, if you guys see what looks like a small dirt path being carved out of the hill, I believe that will be for the monorail from the movie. That could be the alternate transportation to the lower lot that should also replace the van.

If this comes to fruition, I think this is a brilliant use of theme that uses the land to its advantage. It works perfectly as the escolators were featured in the movie. Also, you won't have to worry about seeing it from above since it likely won't be on the lower lot if this JW thing comes true.

I will believe THAT when I see it... I guess my guy was right when he said there are A LOT of rumors flying around for the Lower Lot expansion.

It'd be ashame to lose a classic dark-ride/coaster hybrid that Mummy is, but creating a JP themed "land" would be pretty great. I'd be okay with this, but it would still make a rather awkward transition from lush-jungle theme park to random military facility to a random animated "PETS" ride... My question is though, how exactly would this gyrosphere coaster work? I mean, I know in RCT its possible but that was a custom-made coaster type I had downloaded. Plus this rumored JP/JW expansion would make sense with the rumor of a permanent Raptor meet-n-greet area on the way.

Losing Mummy though would not be a bad thing "IF" they made the "Classic Monsters" land a reality. Honestly, considering that if it wasn't for the classic monsters, Universal would not exist today. So it seems a little wrong to NOT have a decent sized area devoted to them.

i can see the Gyosphere roller coaster happening . the ride can use the exact same technology that was used for Escape form Gringrots;even making the ride in 3D ( i know iknow   :(  ) for some scenes / just think about how transformers the ride is just like spiderman the ride. same can happen with both harry potter and jurassic world

Ugh, I do NOT want a second Gringotts coming over here. I want it to be a PURE coaster with a little dark ride mixed in like…..you know, a BETTER MUMMY. I don't want another freaking simulator with a couple of drops in there.

There is exactly zero room to make a fully-realized Jurassic World "land" alongside all this other stuff.

For a "mini land" there can be. Change the gift shop, Panda, Starbucks, Ben & Jerry's, and old Universal Experience for JW-themed shops and eateries and you got a good themed area for JW. The monorail loading could also go where the van loading is beneath the escalator. We better have a Margaritaville in there. ;)

Um....yes it was. :) Well that's surprising to see. That venue is done for HHN and it looks like Mummy is really on its way out.

I don't think this is a sign of Mummy's impending closure. I just think they're repaving that area but I could be wrong.

That seems...VERY interesting if true. Hopefully USH can manage to get a Jurassic World theme out of this.

While I can totally see the Lower Lot becoming Jurassic World (and would love that because it makes perfect sense). I think the rumor of a Gyrosphere coaster and monorail seem a bit far-feched.

I think I'll miss the employee BBQs in that corridor more than any of the mazes I ever experienced there.

It was just... not a good location for those.

FWIW: The Mummy at USF has won best indoor roller coaster every year since 2008 by Amusement Today -- beating the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Space Mountain each of those years.

Looks like it's usually second. I think Mummy is at least as good.
