I was happy to see a new sequel announced with Brendan Fraser back. Now with confirmation of Rachel Weisz? Gimme gimme gimme!
I wish they’d had Maria Bello play as someone who else for the last movie instead of Evelyn, but I’m so happy Weisz‘s reprising the role!
I asked someone who could answer that last year regarding Imhotep. Their answer was satisfying enough at the time but we shall see. Someone else mentioned that Imhotep looks like he really needs to pee when he pops out and I can’t unsee that now.
If you’ve noticed how the final Dracula is set up when he leaps at you on the extending arm in Monsters Unchained it’s not hard to imagine a similar setup popping out of a sarcophagus.
I’d love to see the mummy warriors in the treasure room be a little dynamic too!
TV and projection tech has become a long way since the ride opened, particularly how compact it is while retaining high quality so they won’t need much space which would be advantageous working around the track. New digitally animated mummies/ghosts matching the style of what’s in the turntable scene would be perfect.
