I'm not saying there's NEVER been Gators at Uni, it's just MUCH more rare than at Disney, where, if you're actually paying attention, you'll see them almost every day near the waters, sun bathing on the golf courses, on the side of the road, etc.

And yes, since there's so many Gators in the state, the FWC has stated that Disney has no choice but to kill the gators. There's nowhere they can be moved.

Yeah we had a gator in a pond behind my house, we nicknamed him shoe, because the guys pretty much told us that he would be killed and since he was just at 4' he would be made into something small. They were out there for awhile, it was a slow day for them, so they taped the gators mouth up and let the kids hold the gator and take pictures with it. So we talked with the guys for awhile. They said the state issues them permits and allows them to do whatever they want with the gators.

13 weeks and 3 days, and I'll be there. It should all be done by the time I step foot in there. Trying to decide what rum based drink to order first at the 500 rums bar. .Decisions, decisions. Life is tough. :)

I think they'll make it. The amount of work they've done in the nearly 2 months since I was last in Orlando is incredible!

I literally have nerves in the pit of my stomach with this resort, I'm so anxious. And the worst part is I'm staying there opening day!

But of course, since it's me, I'll be like "I understand if you don't have running water.. Or air conditioning.."

I think the rooms will be fine, as will most interiors. You might have problems with restaurants and pools being ready.

Some of the rooms are already done - you can see them lit up at night with furniture and all when driving past.

It's the pool and landscaping that arent done at this point.

What is the plan if the hotel isn't ready on time?

There will obviously be different degrees of ready. If the rooms are all ready then guests can be transported to another pool and probably offered some kind of compensation. Free express passes, meals at CityWalk etc.

I think you'll see people that didn't qualify for the $150 dining credit being given some kind of credit and then probably a shuttle between hotel pools until they get Sapphire Falls up and running. If I recall correctly, one of the pools at Cabana Bay wasn't ready on opening day.

This is a pretty picture. It's an odd thing to cluster foxtail palms like that. Those will need to be wrapped in a hard frost.

My neighbor had foxtails, they did die in a hard frost, but they lasted years and years with no issues. I believe it has to be a hard frost for extended period of time. Which is what happened the one year. A bunch of stuff died that ear not just foxtails.
