Hi there! First visit to Epic as part of HHN trip. I'll have:
  • Early entry
  • Express
  • Single rider, since I am a solo rider/vacationer!
I'll be there Labor Day - just how it worked out - but looking forward to giving everything a try! I'd rather go through the regular Ministry queue if possible since the queue seems like it's a huge part of that experience (and the SR queue is just a plain hallway, apparently?)

With that said, do y'all line up for Ministry first, and then SR Kong? Is that a waste of Early Entry? Would love your thoughts, and thanks in advance!

Looking at Touring Plans daily, Ministry is longest at the beginning of the day, still fairly long in the afternoon, and shortest after 7:30 PM.

I would utilize Early Entry for Donkey Kong. Ministry is too finnicky to waste that valuable early entry time on whether or not the ride opens at park open.

While it's risky, I'd hold off on Ministry until later in the day once you guarantee/experience everything else you want to do at the park. Also, I highly recommend you look at the day's forecast/radar. If you see a rainstorm coming in, it might be the best time to wait out Ministry since the rest of the park pretty much shut downs. (or you can re-ride Monsters again and again with SR or shows).

I'm pretty sure I read in one of the Epic threads here that Mine Cart Madness was removed from Early Park Admission recently.

Kong is not officially listed as EPA anymore. I'd pay attention to the signage at the gate, they might change what is open on a day to day basis for EPA. I'd either do Mario, which can be finicky in the morning as well, or just get Curse out of the way and Stardust if not broken like today, then rope drop Berk. Everything is too prone to break downs to have any solid strategy in my opinion.

Yeah, everything breaks down, a lot. Then, there's the weather.

Rides experience consistent downtimes, so I really do recommend those shows. They are both solid (especially Cirque!) and are a great thing to do while waiting for weather conditions or delays to clear.

I don't think there's a solid touring plan yet. Because of the daily issues, you're probably best to play it by ear, and watch the attraction
times closely. And use the shows as your backups when everything else has horrendous lines, or are down.....It's kind of like an entire
park of Hagrids coasters during its first year......I'm glad I took my own advice, and stayed away these first few months.

I must admit, even though I have 3 days booked, and one of those with express, I am going to go in with low expectations as to how much I will actually do of a day, and if say one of those days turns out to be a total bust I'll just bail and head over to IOA or USO, or just have a couple of beers somewhere, hopefully over those 3 days I will manage to get on Ministry.

Evenings, after 7:30, look pretty good at Epic the last two weeks. Perhaps plan your day with that in mind. Even Potter and MK haven't had the super long lines like they have earlier in the day.

Thanks, everyone!

Definitely keeping expectations in check for this visit. We'll be back in December with the whole fam, so this is my scouting round.

Worst comes to worst, I'm looking forward to getting some really great photos to add to my parks album books

I wonder if the evenings are better because either everyone is exhausted from the heat and long day or since Express has only single use available that by the end of the day there are barely any Express users left. I'll go with combination of the two!

We did a one-day Epic day on 5/30 in the middle of the usual 8-to-10 day UOR trip. It was awesome. So it can work, just do it right.

Here are my lessons learned:
1) Get there at least 75 minutes before EPA opening. The security scanners are way too close to the ticketing, and that can cost you up to 30 minutes.
2) Mario Kart first, and don't go down the stairs on the way like most people do. Knock it out early.
3) Get in line for Ministry 45 mins before park close. You might get unlucky with a total breakdown, but we saw them bring it back up after park close after we were in line for a few minutes. Also, walking out in an empty Paris at night is absolutely magical.
4) Don't screw around in BatM queue on the way in, you can hang out there for as long as you want on the way *out*.
5) Both shows are awesome. If there is a rain delay, do these! Also, if there is not, you got super lucky and still do these.
6) Wake up at Stella Luna day of. The walk is 8 minutes.
7) Monsters Unchained is the best ride, has the best queue, and has great capacity. This is a low priority ride in that regard, get anything else with a low wait time first. That said, do this ride two or three times (or over 100 like our friend SaintPiss).

It's all about a good plan with audibles.

Our day:
-Rope drop as explained above
-Fast walk to SNW. We were stopped at the portal, and it opened at EPA time.
-MK, keep left, most people ran down the stairs so we got a good spot in line.
-It broke down 2x while in line. We decided to stick it out.
- Stardust. There was a huge line but we walked right in for EPA at 2 minutes til. Just show the TM the card.
- MU. No line. This will be a pattern.
-Das Stakhaus which I can confirm serves morning beers. My favorite restaurant ever.
-Werewolf. This line sucks, we waited 35 minutes in it. Still trying to figure out a better approach.
-Other side of Stardust, maybe 30 min wait?
-Now things are getting busy.
-Yoshi
-Rain, most rides shut down.
-Das Stakehaus. I freaking love this place!
- Got a beer at Bar Moonshine. This place sucks, line sucks, and we luckily grabbed one of three (yep, *3*) tables. Don't go here it sucks.
-Ministry show (which is awesome)!
- Berk show (also awesome!)
- Went back to Stella for a nap!
- Waited at bus stop, and decided to walk. Other family at the stop didn't realize that was a thing so that was fun talking with them on the way. It is no where the Garden Walkway bit it is a pretty decent path.
-Got back, Donkey, Carousel, and MatB .

That Dk wait was brutal. Not recommended.

But, we did it! I count EU attractions at 14 (2 shows, 2 sides to SDR).

We missed one ride I wanted to do (Wing Gliders); this was a successes!
