Drove by Six Flags Over Texas over the weekend and was surprised to see all of the Stranger Things signage still up. Maybe they're just being lazy about taking it down here.

Hearing "SF Texas" and "lazy" in the same sentence isn't surprising

Cool update. Maybe the rights only lasted one year. The only thing the penny pinchers in head office seem interested in is cutting costs. It might be a good idea for them to not have as many mazes this year, and some of the non-IP mazes were quite good, especially Willoughby and that cluster near the front of the park.

I’m all for less houses. The event would do so much better if they prioritized quality over quantity.

I also don't want to have too much hope but shows

Please bring back shows, with the Looney tunes having its show back, live music near the Rapids ride and the DC event....weekends right now are a great time to go

So I hope we can get some entertainment at Fright fest because if your going to have less houses cool but we need something to help keep the lines not get insane

The removal of IPs will not change the outcome of this year’s event.

Money wise? I agree

But Event wise, we will see.

I'm critical on Six Flags but the Summer isn't that bad. We have 3 different kind's of entertainment, Hurricane Harbor has never looked better

So while maybe it will be super low crowded again but....if they are smart in getting APs to come and spread the word the event is better then ever it could start the ball rolling and make the event into something big one day.

I mean they also now have the Scary Farm team to talk to, and hopefully help in someways to get the event into something that can become much bigger then what it currently is

You’re optimistic which I respect. I’m being realistic based on the last couple years. I don’t hate the event and can enjoy it for what it is. It will remain low tier to me until further notice.

Not sure if I’ll attend Fright Fest if house wristbands are going to be $50 again:

Not sure if the Fright Fest numbers were low enough last year to make them re-think their price point, or maybe they just cut costs and hope for similar revenue.

Lol I'm just thinking about how many miles I must have covered last year going back to mazes to see if they'd opened yet. Saw, Trick'r'Treat, and the 2 zombie mazes were the worst offenders on media night.

Take this with a grain of salt...but someone on the Six Flags MM Facebook group I'm in posted it will be 69 dollars for a Fright Fest Season pass
(the screeshot looks like its from the website but I can't find it myself)

Which is both a steal for most...but also it was apart of the highest pass last year so yeah

Honestly $69 for the entire season does not strike me as expensive at all. That's less than $5 for each night FF is open (not that you'd go all nights, but to put it in perspective)

Agreed but also it was free on the highest pass last year

So for most it’s a deal, but as someone with the highest pass would have been nice to get one night free.

The only good news in this is the event might be even less crowded now that it’s not a part of any passes
