Yeah Its most likely that hulk will have some sort of grand opening thing, however I wouldn't predict anything though until the end of summer. An attraction usually doesn't get a grand opening if it's plagued with problems like HRRR. But if despicable me got some flare I don't see why Kong can't either

It's possible, I'm just sharing what I was told. Additional, temporary equipment had been installed specifically for a ceremony this coming week, and it's since been taken down.

Wow this ride is running beautifully today. Absolutely perfect. The regular queue when filled only takes 45 minutes (even though marked 90). Sitting towards the back makes a huge difference. No technical problems and lots of trucks! No more problems with the doors.

Well yes and no. They did have contests and other things that indicated an opening date to the media. So it all depends on how the media plays this one out. Yes, no official date was announced, but the media isn't dumb. It is pretty clear they missed their targeted grand opening date.

Great to hear. On that Touring plans.com blog " Saturday's Six, Kong's queue", they have a video by Tim Tracker of Kong's queue and towards the end he reviews the attraction. Tim Tracker calls it fantastic and he interviews a half a dozen other people who rode it that day They all had great things to say about the attraction. Not a negative comment from any of them.

lol, this isn't like some exclusive i've been holding back. They were going to be there live one of the mornings during the June 22-24th media event that got cancelled.

You didn't see the contests they were running? It was all over social media. Maybe you need to get out more ? The winners were here, that is who was riding as VIPs this week. They got park admission and rooms along with the airfare for 2 - 3 days?

I saw you people talking about a contest but I don't recall seeing it on the Today Show. When fluff like that comes on I usually switch to cable news. Sorry everyone, I ain't into contests!

They ran it on social media, sure I entered but like always no response from them.

The original opening and media date was supposed to be the 24th, so the contest winners being there makes sense.

So, there were three trucks running today? Where is the fourth vehicle? Who is brought in at the last minute to theme those things. It's wild that I have no idea. But it is a fun challenge as well. Pedal to the metal!

So they were targeted to have a grand opening this week yet they still don't have their full fleet? I think I asked this before but is the non-delivery a delay or was it always going to be like this?

And throwing the opening together with Hulk in late August makes sense yet it'll be kind of strange that it spent almost all of its first summer in tech rehearsals. I wonder how much vacation packages were affected? Might as well make Kong just as big of a marketing tool as VB and Fallon for next summer.

I think they've learned from their experiences to keep a grand opening date closer to the chest as they've experienced problems with newer tech from most new attractions from Rockit and on. I'm sure they had end in June in mind previously.

Probably the same reason Disney didn't think twice about announcing June 21st for Frozen since slow-moving boat rides with animated figures are kinda what they do best.
