They still had the mobile ordering signs, and access code, all over the parks 'last week'. Also separate lines at the restaurants. Mobile ordering clearly slowed the process of getting food so I hope they either quit it, or at the least, not
push it so hard. Also, Universal changed the ordering and seating procedures that existed pre covid . Instead of multiple ordering lines, they were all merged into one line, and that is certainly a bad system. It also appeared there was a
shortage of food workers in the restaurants. There was always lots of confusion in the long restaurant lines on who and what were the procedures. As I said, hopefully Universal squashes all this and goes back to their old system which was pretty efficient. Also, sit down restaurants in CitiWalk and the hotels requiring advance reservations is a pain. Not needing advance reservations was a clear Universal advantage over Disney in the past. It will be interesting to see if Universal reverses this now that the covid safety and distancing requirements have lapsed. There's a lot to be said for vacationing spontaneous without having to over plan every day.
