While I'm still hyped for the movie, I did not like this trailer lol

So I left this trailer thinking “wow….maybe those two people aren’t in it after all”.

But then I thought about it more and that’s exactly what Feige wanted. He needs the audience to lose their collective crap when that reveal happens and despite everyone already assuming they’re in it…showing or even teasing it in the trailer will take away from that Endgame level moment.

It's very low-lit, making it hard to see a lot of people or things in the trailer. But as I had been saying, the VFX department is behind on this movie and working 7 days a week for awhile now. That's why it took so long to get a second trailer out - the VFX team hasn't had it done enough to put out a trailer according to rumor.

I don't mind the Iron Spider suit, but it's been around since Endgame. It should've been time for a change.

Dude, how do you not know by this point lol? We've pretty much got a Sinister Six (Sandman, Electro, Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Lizard, and there was a 6th that was hard to make out (I wouldn't be completely surprised at Venom) against Strange, Wong, MCU Spidey and potentially Andrew and Tobey. If that's not a movie that at least sounds interesting as all hell, then idk what is as a Spidey fan.

Now of course with the multiversal aspects it could be a disaster with too much going on, but I trust they'll pull it off.

I believe that’s still Willem Dafoe. There’s been leaked images of Green Goblin without a mask on, and just goggles. Hobgoblin is orange typically, and this character is still green so probably a new suit. Also have seen confirmations that there is no 6th villain.

It could be, but I’m here for it. And if it is a bloated mess, it won’t be due to being a bad idea, but bad execution.

When you get into multiverse stuff in storytelling, things can get messy if you aren’t careful.

seems the focus is on trying to get the bad guys back to their universes, and our peter struggling with the idea that they all die in their universe. with that plot, I could see the other two spiderbois not showing up. I will wait and see in theaters though.

I mean two things

1) I am not a fan of this Peter Parker or the other films
2) This trailer showed two jokes...that just make this feel like a Sony Film and less MCU...when MJ says "say please" and making fun of doc Ock...I just didnt find those funny which reminds me of the human in Venom films

Next Spiderman and Batman both have the best Rogue's Galleries EVER...but to just throw in 6 villains who aren't even Connected to this Peter and literally have zero beef with him or this Earth makes things feel less personal, which is why BTA series back in the day works and so on.

I'm sure most people here will enjoy it but from this trailer it seems like soooo much is going on it could be another spiderman 3. Plus I keep seeing IGN writing articles about how many script changes this film had, I think reworking stuff is good but they had an article saying daily script rewrites at times and the ending was thought up on set. I hope its good...I'm literally playing through The two new Spiderman games on Ps5, watching Spectacular Spiderman series (again) and rewatching the Toby Spiderman films getting ready for this...I want it to be good but like the Star Wars Sequels me wanting and a film being great don't always mix.
