Bleh. Looks out of place. Right on the waterfront too, not what I care to see when I look from London.

^ Then don't look. I understand this is a THEME park but I think we are all getting to hung up on line of sight issues.

Universal is making grand improvements and additions, that is what we should be concentrating on.

Universal is downright ugly. Sightlines are thing of the past in the park.

Does anyone know if the purple flag poles with Simpsons characters are going to be staying? They look like they're in pretty rough shape right now.

It looks no worse than the character banners. At least this includes a bad play on words

Sorry, didn't mean to cause a ripple in the water, I LOVE what Universal is doing, and the only reason I really said something is because this is the first thing I've seen yet that I disagree on, and I don't mind sight lines, I just don't like seeing this thing stand all on it's own looking awkward, there's just nothing near it, but I know it's not done yet.

Ugly? I don't think so. Transformers is unfortunate, but the park will look significantly better after Springfield and Diagon Alley are done.

Just throwing this out there one more time, area is not complete but remaining work won't be done for sometime so they decided to open this game up and make some money. Also expect fence line pushed back very soon.

Don't expect it to open anytime soon however, the workers forgot to water seal the electronics, and after one nights of rain blew the electrical system for it once and again the other night expect walls to possibly go back up if the solution isnt fixed by Monday.

I agree with you in the vaguest sense, but something you need to understand is that Universal Studios Florida is kinda a weird transition park. It was originally created to focus on movie production and films in general, but has been gradually moving away from that concept ever since around 2000. As such, the park doesn't exactly know what it wants to be right now.

This is changing and it's transitioning to a more cohesive theme, not so much "you are an extra on a movie set" but "you are in the universe".

I'm happy for the Springfield expansion, but I don't think this Sledge Homer game adds anything to the area whatsoever.

Fascinating to me that the giant box with the the TF tattoos all over it gets a pass but the "Sledge Homer" is suddenly the worst thing in Uni history :pound:

You've never seen an ugly park if you think Universal is "downright ugly." I guess ignorance isn't bliss.

maybe we should perhaps ask him if he was being sarcastic...

Hey Eric! Was that sarcasm or legit?

Asking questions is always better than just assuming...saves you trouble to... believe me lol.

I was gonna say why is everyone hating on Universal? but i'm sure that will cause an uproar lol anyways i'm getting pretty stoked to see the final result for Springfield and Transformers. Still very curious how the final outcome is gonna look, including the Kang and Kodos mystery spinner!

There's a difference between hating on Universal and being critical of things that seem unnecessary/out of place. I stated in my post i'm excited for the Springfield expansion and i'm happy with everything Universal is doing. But not everything is rainbows and butterflies. There's always room to be critical, even if they are stepping up their game.

No Comment. I'm not starting an uproar and don't wanna be responsible for it lol i was just saying how i feel about it. Anyways Universal is doing great things and will continue to try and be the best. I truly believe when the phase 2 expansion, Transformers and Springfield opens, Universal Studios will start winning best Amusement Park awards.
