The point being that Uni probably does not want such a blatantly sexual pun at the heart of their new expansion. Not because they are prudes, but because they don't want complaints.

And it would serve almost no purpose. It's not that much different than KB. Not worth the hassle at all. Better to have variety.

I'm still amazed The Frying Dutchman isn't one of the facades.

That's true, but KFP is a satire on American eating habits. Gulp n' Blow is a reference to sexual practices. HUGE difference. (Ha. 'Huge')

I'm not gonna lie, I literally never thought of it as a sexual innuendo.

And they're doing it! Do you REALLY think that a name of food location taken directly from a famous cartoon is going to make people switch their trips to Disney??????

It's a name from a cartoon.......are you really THAT offended???

I am not offended. I think you are missing our point. While many would not be offended (including you and I) there are many people who would be. And those same people normally have kids and that makes them more sensitive. Again, not me. I watch my soap around my kids, so obviously I am not too worried about it. My daughter screams out "apple" when people cut us off in the car, which BTW, I really need to get our whole family to stop swearing before she starts saying bad words at daycare - lol But many people are not like you and I. If Uni wants to pull people from Disney, they can't afford to alienate people that they draw to their parks. Lets face it the world has change to a more PC world. As much as I think we have swung way to far to the PC side, I think Uni has to be conscious of this trend. I mean I am annoyed there is no longer a "winner" in sports when the kids are young, but guess what? That is the world today and big corporations need to also be aware of the world today.

I don't disagree with you that is funny, part of a popular show, and would be more recognized. But I just don't think the sexual reference would fly with a good percentage of families. And telling them they can go have fun at Disney is the opposite of what Uni is trying to do right now.

I would agree. Perhaps I'm naive, but I thought it was a play on regurgitation; as in "blowing chunks".

I am on the regurgitation bandwagon for the Gulp and Blow. However I do prefer the KFP, especially since there is a Panda on the ride.

Actually if you look at the two pictures of the buildings earlier (couple pages back), the KFP has a more obvious sexual reference (even though I would assume they are not going to put that sign on the windows)

I never really thought of Gulp N' Blow that way, but now that I do, I can't stop laughing!

AND on top of that with the Krusty Burger there'll be an obvious satire on monopolization (Krustyland, the Krusty Show, Krusty Burger, etc.) that makes much more sense and is much more appropriate/worth it than a double entendre.

How did this discussion even start? Baseless speculation?

Last thing that I'll say about this.........Blow N' Gulp would be more of a sexual reference, would it not? If Universal was worried about "offending".......probably never should have got involved with the Simpsons.

Back to the actual expansion..........

AWESOME detail on Moe's!

To everyone that is concerned about complaints regarding the names of Simpsons food locations.........this isn't Disney!!!! The Simpsons have been on the tube for 25 years.....I think that everyone is pretty familiar with the sarcasm, wit and parody that the show is famous for. If people are that overly sensitive about this.........let them hang out 24/7 with the permanent smiling princesses down the road............

I think it's common sense not to do this. They have so many facades to choose from why would they pick one that could be offensive? Maybe you don't care but the words 'blow' and 'gulp' have negative connotations that Universal doesn't want to mess around with. It's not about being prudes...it's about not being stupid and taking huge risks to appeal to diehard Simpsons fans who don't have impressionable little children or conservative family members.

So conservatives with little children are going to ditch Disney for the Simpsons???......that's precious.

"Blow" Pop
Big "Gulp"

How offensive!:look:

Let's try and move on......we all know that Universal is NOT going to use that name anyway so this is really a moot point. We all have our opinions and none of us are changing them.

I think the tangent has gone long enough, but with my final word on the subject, I'm like 1000000000% sure the name is not meant as a sexual joke. It's far too lame and "on the nose" for the early Simpsons, and not its type of humor at all. If this was a Family Guy area...maybe.

Just wanted to say hello, welcome and thank you to everyone for their updates and effort in maintaining this site. I'm a Western New Yorker who makes it down about once a year, so it's nice the other 358 days of the year to keep up with what is going on! Thanks again.

All I was trying to say is that of they could choose a facade that won't have any possibility of anybody getting offended they should. I think it would be ridiculous to be offended at gulp n blow but there are people who would be, a lot of people visit the parks and love to complain.

Honestly, if it sounds like a title to a porn flick, the restraunt shouldn't have that name. Lol, also, I just don't like the name. I rather KFP.

Please stop arguing using semantics and drop the discussion. I know you said move on each time, but you keep bringing your point back up with semantics.

I agree. Simpsons humor is a lot more clever than that.
