That is my favorite area of Animal Kingdom. I truly don't understand the disdain some people have for it. It is so well themed, which is exactly how I expect Springfield to turn out.

I do feel like water will be involved in the ride sort of like one fish in Seuss Landing.

I agree. I hope they do something unique with this one and not just your typical up down spin around movements but it has some variation. Maybe like the cars can spin as well or you can move the cars from side to side or face up and down like your flying a spaceship

That would be pretty awesome. And I think you have to have Kang and Kodos talking in the speakers during the experience.

No, no April Fools. I genuinely enjoy that area of the park. It's kitschy, just as it should be.

Anyway, I'm happy to see landscaping popping up around the new construction. Looks great!

Looking at this pic, I just realized that I've been missing something when looking at the Springfield buildings, not taking into consideration all parts... I was only looking at the red steel for the shapes of the buildings, but clearly those are not any indicator of the final height or shape of the buildings. There's framing on top of that! :doh: So, for KFP, where I was dumbfounded by the shape and height, I'm seeing this is gonna change once the top framing goes in

You can see in the photos shown the rectangular bar shape, and to the right you will notice some more ground work. This will be an industrial style cooler with wicked piping and a retail shop. It's gonna look awesome!

Due to the area that the site is in they need to allow for people to still pass through the area. But with this the work area becomes rather small if traffic went right down the middle. So what they are doing is moving the walls to one side, and doing most of the work on one side, they changing to the other side. This is why you saw the shop fronts go up quickly and the water front seem to take forever to get anywhere and no its the opposite.

Due to the inside of the buildings taking the longest (or about the longest, they wanted to have the building exterior mostly in place, hence it being built to its current state, but it didn't need to be finished for the interior work to take place. So due to the exterior not needing extra work, at this stage, they moved the walls over to extend to area for ride construction and the whole area in general. So no matter what one side will be slower then the other until the project gets closer to completion.

It seems to me that if they finish the storefronts before the expansions is actually ready to open the photo ops would build more hype and excitement for that area. I guess with the space that is available they wouldn't want a lot of people stopping at taking pictures, maybe when they are able to move the walls out more and when it is closer to open.

I remember Quick-E-Mart opened a while before The Simpsons ride, and everyone wanted picks in front of it, they were all over the place.

Looking at the layouts, I think the interior of Krusty Burger may come out to be quite awkward. Like basically just a hall to the back, some seats on the right side and maybe a Coke Freestyle refilling station on the left? It just looks like the interior left side would be some weird triangle that would be difficult to make useful.

Then with Android, around the side is there going to be a wall or just be open to the bathrooms? That would not look to good if it was just a store "front" and no side where there is obviously no space, a 2-D store.
