*hyperventilating*

YAAAAAS! So happy that they stuck to the concept art! I was afraid they wouldn't include it!!! Gosh, that's so amazing! I Said from the beginning that it would be cool if we had the Springfield sign over Springfield, even in Florida. Glad that we're getting it!

When Simpsons first opened, I was hoping that the Springfield Hill would somehow be incorporated into the facade to cover the obnoxiously big Omnimax dome screen buildings still.

Originally, that was one of the initial concepts for The Ride. The two Omnimax domes would've been transformed to look like the two Nuclear Reactors from the show, but that concept fell through once some of the voice actors couldn't sign on. I'm glad it didnt, that would've looked ugly lol.

After revisiting the concept art again, it looks like the two Nuclear Power Plant reactors and the Spinster City Apartments building will be three-dimensional structures since they weren't included in the backdrop. If you compare the concept art to these construction photos, everything looks identical. Exciting!

Although I had a good time riding Kang and Kodos.  But our Springfield is much more interesting over Orlando's.

Kang and Kodos isn't all that popular in Florida, anyway (which is a bit of a shame).

I'm sure guests would like the ride here, but there is absolutely nowhere to put it. What they really need is to put a spinner or another kid-friendly ride in the Lower Lot to balance things out.

^I really didn't feel Kang and Kudos was necessary anyway since we already have Silly Swirly.

Yes!  They should be doing more to the lower lot too- it's such a mess and the Mummy entrance in particular is pretty ugly.

I thought Kang and Kodos was great in Florida. Fits nicely with Krustyland, has elements in the queue and safety spiels that poke fun at itself, and it's interactive. It's not a bad attraction, but Silly Swirly already fit that bill, and we have no more room.

On a separate note, ThemeParkAdventure just posted the following photos on their site. Guests are now being funneled through the SES breezeway as the path in front of Ben & Jerry's and Louie's is completely blocked off. I don't think I'll be visiting the park too soon.

Is it confirmed that SES is temporarily closed? That looks like a nightmare....

I wonder if they will pave the street like in Orlando.

The show is still open, believe it or not. It must be a nightmare in that area once guests exit the building.

Repaving is definitely occurring since they've totally blocked off the path at the beginning of what will eventually be Springfield. What I'm wondering is how they'll reroute Studio Tour crowds when they repave in front of Cletus' Chicken Shack and the Springfield Police Station.

Sounds like now would be the perfect time for Universal Creative to start eyeing another more family friendly property. ;)

I wonder if most tourists mind all the construction that is going on right now.
