Couple shots of Springfield from today, Jan 18.  Apart from a few utilities yet to go in the ground the surface looks reasonably level and cleared for paving.  Shouldn't be too long now.

Bumblebee Man's Taco Truck will be a welcome addition. It'll be the only venue in the park with Mexican cuisine since the Hollywood Cantina.

Great photos! Nice to see that the rumored Phineas Q. Butterfat's Ice Cream Parlor location is getting an entirely new façade. It also appears that Android's Dungeon won't actually be accessible considering the fact that it doesn't have a roof...

As for the Jebediah Springfield statue, I think the ideal spot for it would be somewhere in the open space between Bumblebee Man's Taco Truck and Moe's. That area seems too wide open for them to not have anything planned.

The addition of Springfield makes the ride's bad exterior look even worse. I think it's inexcusable that they don't find a way to improve the facade and hide/dress the Omnimax domes better. Springfield looks amazing. They should find ways to improve the ride exterior as well....

Not only are there support beams for Sideshow Bob, but the rightmost window of the Springfield Police Department isn't fully installed - Snake is coming too!

This all but confirms other full-size statues of Eddie & Lou (in front of Springfield Police Department), Moe (in front of Moe's), and Herman (inside Herman's Military Antiques). I'd imagine they'll be porting the Barney statue from Moe's over in Florida, and given the size of our food court, there may be room for more (though that's probably wishful thinking).

I would love for the front of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, King Toot's Music Store and Herman's Military Antiques to serve as small meet and greet areas since it doesn't seem guests will be able to enter through those locations. Really excited to see how it all turns out!

Sideshow Bob was at the employee preview of Springfield last year. They had a meet and greet set up inside the Globe Theater. If you look carefully on Twitter some posted pics of the meet and greet.

Yeah I knew that but after they posted the concept art with Bob escaping...

...eh I'm probably thinking too hard about this.

I wasn't expecting Sideshow Bob since he's already represented by that statue, but the same could be said for The Simpsons themselves since they have a statue next to TSR's sign. If he was at the preview, I'd say he's coming.

It seems like Universal has been trying to expand the variety of characters in the park lately.
