Was talking to a few friends who don't go to theme parks much and certainly don't go to Disney. I've only ever known them to go to Universal - a few times around HHN and a few around the holidays and Mardi Gras. They caught wind of the media blitz yesterday and it was all they would talk about for about 15 minutes today. And it's not like they are huge SW fans either. They're more what i'd consider to be casual fans, but they are already sold on the land.
I think quite a few of you are underselling just how popular it will be. This is going to bring out a bunch of people who would never feel like they have any other reason to visit a Disney theme park, I think. And I also think some of you are over-estimating how the huge fans will just automatically flock to Anaheim. If you live on the east coast and love SW, but are on a tight budget, you very likely aren't going to fly all the way out to Anaheim where tickets are more expensive and the flight is more expensive as well (rather than possibly just driving to WDW).
The main positive is that the land will be able to hold a ton of people. But I also feel like once people are in, they aren't going to leave for quite some time. It seems like you could spend hours in this land and still be entertained, even if you had fastpasses.
