Parks that are built with an understanding that shows will alleviate their low capacities should have shows (cough DCA, cough USH, cough DHS till last year)

This is something the foreign parks seem to understand a lot better, Walt Disney Studios Paris has five shows running simultaneously in theaters of varying sizes. Five! Because they need it! Hong Kong Disneyland is building another theater as we speak! Don't even get me started on how many theaters they've got in Japan.

That’s not exactly accurate.

DHS has always had some shows but they just had one updated last year and another replace a previous attraction.

I’ll throw out a random thought: If we are getting Pokemon, I wonder if we’ll see updates on that project soon, especially with F&F wrapping up.

USJ is working on their Pokemon ride. IoA’s is under construction, I wonder if we’ll see any indication in that IF we get it at all.

I would be shocked if we don’t get anything Pokemon as it’s literally the world’s most popular IP.

I'm pretty sure there was an announcement not too long ago that Pokémon was coming to every Universal park outside of Japan, but we just don't know how. Universal would be stupid not to bring the biggest IP ever to the park.

A theory I've held at the back of my head is Nintendo and TPC are timing the announcement alongside USJ's debut. If Pokemon comes to Hollywood, it's likely going to be the Simpsons replacement, maybe even dusting off what was likely going to be at USF before plans shifted to IOA.

My fingers are crossed Pokemon will be in the lower lot because they will have more space

Unless they move the Tram route and let them use the hill behind Simpsons ride for Pokemon....feels like it won't be enough room

Even then that area gets busy as is...If Pokemon is in the middle of the park. I just think it could be really bad for most guests

If they want to get Pokemon in sooner. Retheme the Nintendo Cafe and add meet and greet characters, those alone would be so popular and easy to change out what characters are there per season.

I wonder if.....and what is happening with the Simpsons land

The reason why my mind is drifting to Pokemon replacing Simpsons is because USH might want to balance out the lower lot and having two video game themed areas in the same general area might not be what they want.

IIRC I think the tram stop can go for future theme park development per the evolution plan.

Part armchair imagineering and part speculation on my part, but the park could really use more shows. While I will not complain at all about getting a new ride, the park’s ride count is at a point where they could get away with replacing a terrible, aging simulator with a live show and it would be a net positive for the park. Water World is the only major live show in the entire park and that’s baffling considering how many shows the park had back in the day.

Putting Pokemon in Springfield would actually be the move. Simpsons is at the most ideal location for a Pokemon Stadium show and that’s baffling considering could be the headlining attraction for the land. Retheme the shops and restaurants to Pokemon, adid a meet and greet annd some random AAs like Isle of Berk and you got a solid land there. While they’re at it, maybe they could add a second story to the pizza restaurant.

I could see Pokemon replacing the Simpsons. Whatever replaces the Mummy HAS to be an indoor coaster of some sort.

Personally, I would love to see nothing replace Mummy. Whenever the time comes, I hope they level the building and give the lower lot some much-needed breathing room. The Lower Lot has been suffocating for many years.

If they update the Mummy, I'm cool with it staying. But if it is this...then sure get ride of it and use it for an opening of a new land and use the area behind it for a ride.
