The new area at the base of the new studio tour sign is very nice. When it was behind construction walls it appeared, to me anyway, to be too small an area for tour crowds to pass through. But seeing it full of people today made it seem larger. It was not a that busy today, though.
Oh, and obviously the old (temp) sign is gone.
And here's the area we were walking through on Friday that is now behind construction walls.
Gives me a chuckle to think of all the construction workers who, when this is done, will be able to say, "I'm really good at moving construction walls even at night."
Apologies if I'm veering off topic but this relates to the above photos. I really like what the park is doing in terms of non-themed area (not Springfield, not Hogsmeade, etc) upgrades. Universal Plaza was very nice when it opened but it didn't seem to relate to the rest of the park. Now, as each area is updated (lower lot and studio tour signs, new paved areas and railings) they tie in very well with the Universal Plaza art deco look. I wonder what areas will be updated that are currently untouched.
