Exactly my point. This attraction would not be suitable for the wicked IP. If it’s short like you said what would the “story” be? What songs would be included in 3 minutes? Idk. ‍

You enter OZ through the train station then you use the Hologram area to have actors....then Defying Gravity and you fly with the Tram

Also if they do a ride more then enough musical songs and scenes to work. We might not see it here in Hollywood but they will make a ride and it will be popular

People might not see musicals but people like music and some sort of musical coaster or E ticket would work well and also be something we don't see enough from universal. Disneyland is full of musical rides and its one of the most popular parks in the world

Like Disney has over 20 musical's that are classics, they literally have rides like Mermaid which are basically musical rides

The animated classics are NOT classified as musicals due to being mostly dialogue, while a stage production is mostly sung for 75-90% of its runtime. There is a difference.

Wicked would literally only rely on Defying Gravity or a mash-up of melodies from the movie(s). But it'd also require all new content filmed (or digitally created) for the Studio Tour (that goes for BTTF as well, unless it was voiceovers) which is why I don't see it happening as a replacement.

Gonna be real, if Wicked is indeed replacing Supercharged, I’m actually gonna root to bring back Supercharged. I’m serious.

It’s not because I’m just apathetic towards Wicked. I just don’t think it’s a great choice for a replacement. It’s short-sighted and deserves something a little more IMO. Also, if you’re in the Tour, you’re gonna be forced to out up with the singing theater kids while I’m just trying to enjoy the tour.

shower thoughts but nolan's presence at cinemacon really highlights how he's essentially the new spielberg for the studio, and they're continuing to produce his films indefinitely into the future. when the odyssey likely does well, i wouldn't be shocked if the studio tour addition is a kongfrontation-esque encounter with the cyclops from that film (which they filmed practically!). it's definitely a better fit than an oppenheimer attraction lol

I seriously doubt we’ll see a major Odyssey attraction on the Tour.

An Odyssey tram attraction, doesn't seem likley....but Nope has one...so who knows.

The hard thing is we are land locked

Unless it's a simulator, which is what the Tram tour attraction would be as well there isn't much they can do at USH with BTTF. Could we get a coaster like the Mummy, maybe but then for sure the Mummy would have to go. But if they just want to make another screen ride, I'd rather it just be on the tram then using space in the park.

Maybe if it makes sense after the UK park but unless something happens, Pokemon is a lot in the next 10 years as a long. We know they want Wicked in the theme parks and are going to make a Third Wicked movie and prequel book about Glinda.

Unless they make a BTTF show where Simpsons is and change that area into just studio land, which I would be down for just kind of limited but Orlando has really no excuse and in fact they had a chance to add a coaster for BTTF there and choose F&F....

We are lucky Fan fest gave us so much BTTF love which now is in the park in the form of the delorean and Marty and Doc meeting guests.

But on topic I have a feeling the replacement will be something alot more grand. The studio tour is awesome but the ending really leaves a lot to be desired. Sorry but Nope is so much more underwhelming as the end of the studio tour than Supercharged ever was. Universal has been shifting away from having a giant screen be the main part of the ride so I'm pretty sure it's going to be something more akin to Earthquake. Wicked and BTTF I don't see happening at all, Universal would want to save those for something bigger... probably in Orlando because they get everything.

Real talk a Matrix stunt show in the vein of the Bourne Stuntacular would slap so hard.

tbh I have a inkling thought on Supercharged's actual replacement down the road--but I do kind of wonder if this might serve as a unique element to consider what's happening right now with how long the building's been sitting in stasis.

As if--they kind of don't have an actual clue, of what they want in the venue. And for the time being, it's in a state of limbo until they have the opportunity to capitalize on efforts elsewhere (almost like what I am wondering is going to happen to Orlando's Supercharged).
