Either the effect was greatly toned down already or the “wet path” may be one of the more overhyped house elements in quite some time lol. The JPRA comparisons and poncho comments feel downright silly. The only way I could see you getting drenched is if you intentionally stood still for a period of time.

Just an overall odd execution on that scene after all of the hype and teasing.

I mean, it's not drenching, but it's noticeable. More than a mist, your shirt will be noticeably wet. Even wetter if the conga line is slow.

I’ll be honest and be routings for the wet to be super light

I don’t come to HHN for bad smells or water effects

I come for the actors, IPs, sets, details and Halloween vibes

I’m not scared of the water but it’s also kind of gross and no idea why the creators get obsessed with gimmicks just make a good house that’s what fans want

Seconded house of the night. Had an AAP and as soon as we got into the event, I got a return time for this. This house wasn't really scary, but it was tons of fun. Waving and playing with the Art SA as I walked past them was lots of fun.

epically in the clown cafe room when he's in the food truck

I took the wet side and while I did get wet, I didn't get soaked. It's basically
Water "Blood" pouring on you from above

Probably in my top 3 or 4

Not sure if it was just last night and timing with different casts but
I just about cried when I saw Fiend in the finale instead of Uncle Howdy. Uncle Howdy is the only one I had seen on thursday and friday, and I waited until after midnight to do this house since it would officially be my birthday. What a gift.

What I’ve gathered from a few people who’ve done it is it comes down to how fast you go through this part. The faster you walk through it the less wet you’re going to be, but so far I don’t think anyone’s gotten soaked unless they took their time.

FWIW, my shirt came out essentially dry and the only thing wet was a bit of my hair, but nothing crazy. Same with the rest of my party. Maybe later runs will give me a different experience!

Definitely this.

At the end of the day, it's a fairly nothing complaint on my end. Influencers are already forcing themselves to slow down to look drenched for their "before/after Terrifier wet path" tiktoks giving HHN a good little bit of viral hype. It just feels a little silly in retrospect after 10 pages of hyping it up when Terrifier was already going to have the big gimmick of "goriest HHN house ever!!". I think it may have played differently for me as well if the "Symphony of Blood" actually came across as something other than a hallway of leaky plumbing

Fwiw - It’s been implied it was dialed down opening weekend after the flooding but should be more of a “symphony” next week after they fix the issue.
