Yeah, I wasn't too impressed with this episode. Im normally awake when new episodes drop on Disney+ and watch once when released and then another time in the following days. I fell asleep while watching this episode and finished it a few hours ago. Just sort of felt like The Mandalorian: Boba Fett edition, but not as interesting as The Mandalorian.

Glad to see Rex getting consistent work across the high-end bars and clubs of the galaxy

Kind of a ho hum for me. Those electro shock sticks don't work that great. Should have gone wt a 20th century taser. I'd be asking for a refund. Found the music loud and a little annoying.

I really liked it

I liked the music, the action was fun, the designs were like old school and this episode felt like 10 little mini story's all in one.

The rumor is this season is headed towards a show off between Boba and Cad Bane , so I am looking forward to how we get there.

Based on his episode in The Mandalorian last year and now this one, I don’t think I’m much of a fan of Robert Rodriguez in this setting.

I enjoyed the episode quite a bit, but I'm also coming at the show from a perspective of few expectations. If it's just a fairly low-key crime story with some monster mayhem peppered in once in a while, that's completely fine with me.

Agreed. I mean, it was fine. I think these "limited series" shows would do better to be all dropped at once.

Although I do really like the weekly.

Hello 1980's sitcoms!

It was fine. Star Wars TV is proving to be definitely better than Star Wars films so I'd like to know what the hell went wrong with the Episode Saga...

Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau actually have a vision whereas with Episodes 7-9 Disney was just chasing money and had no long term story. They made it up as they went, which turned out to be a disaster by the time they got to Episode 9.

I think it would’ve been better if they started off the season by dropping 2 episodes like with Hawkeye.

This first episode was a miserable load of member berries defecating on the original trilogy. I found it boring and uninspired. It's fine Disney ruins the future of SW but don't go back to the original with this lame attempt. Even pushing in the theme park crap (Rex) and galaxy cruise stuff (card table and too clean bar). And whoever choregraphed and shot the "action" should get a medal as it exceeded the worst fight scene in any Disney Star Wars production.

What the hell is wrong with Rex?

People loved Star Tours 1.0 and its literally for like 5 seconds. After Mando and now Spiderman get ready for more "remember this" in frames of SW and Marvel because that i what gets clicks and people excited

Disney only ruined the new trilogy because of EXTREMELY poor planning, having no overarching vision for the story that they were planning to tell and how to get there from the beginning (and what the end was supposed to be). TLJ was extremely divisive, but I’m of the mind it’s possibly the best Star Wars movie ever made. Certainly the one that was actually willing to take the most risk and just give us a great movie.

Unfortunately, because Kathleen Kennedy was pirating the ship blind without a vision, there was no overarching story, so while TLJ is a great movie imo, it ruins this trilogy at the same time, at no fault of Rian Johnson, because a lot of plot lines were closed up. That movie could've easily been made and a great movie been made for 9 had there been seemingly any planning going on. Rian even left them a post credit scene to jump off and it was ignored.

Had there been an overarching vision from the start, that wouldn’t have been an issue and TROS wouldn’t have been borderline unwatchable and such a disappointing end to a trilogy that tbh, was shaping to be pretty good until TROS.

So there are some rumors that Emilia Clarke’s Qi’ra from Solo will pop up in this show. Would certainly be interesting as I remember liking the character, so I wouldn’t be against it if it fits the story.

I'd be all in favor (though I do think they'd have to age her up a bit, given than SOLO takes place close to 20 years prior to when the "present" of BOOK OF BOBA FETT is happening), as I want this show to dig into galactic organized crime in a big way.

Bring in Black Sun and Prince Xizor, too. He was the best thing to come out of (the now de-canonized but still very fun) SHADOWS OF THE EMPIRE.

Johnny Favs and Filoni have certainly shown a willingness to recanonize previously decanonized works so it’s certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

Much better episode this week than last week, although the main story didn't move too far forward.

It's getting much more interesting IMO.

I love that they're building up his standing within the Tuskens. Very heavy Dune vibes, even before the spice came up.

Sadly my guess is something terrible happens to the tribe so he's alone by the current storyline, unless he's saving them as a secret weapon in a war against other gangsters, which could be epic.

Also, Black Krrsantan! He's the wookie the Hutts brought and he's a fun characters in the comics, mostly Dr. Aphra. It's cool to see him in the fur.

Big rumor about the finale:
Supposedly, Harrison Ford took some time out of shooting Indy 5 last year to go over to the Boba set for a few days to film a few scenes. He’ll obviously have to be de-aged, but it would be still be cool. Interesting that the rumor is they filmed with Ford instead of just going the easy route and bringing in Alden Ehrenreich. Says to me they know if they are gonna do it, they have to do it right.
