Yeah, regardless of if these talks actually happened or are going to lead to anything, publically associating with an Elon Musk company is a bad look for Universal.

And if they go through with it, Universal will have some explaining to do.

I don’t know if there’s serious discussion, but I would easily believe it has been at least unofficially proposed/floated to the stated parties and there are certain parties that would want to milk it for even more. The worry for me is that I see the other major I-Drive players being quite comfortable cozying up to Musk for something they see as a marketable “luxury” option, so even if Universal dismisses it, it might get potential interest and momentum despite being the transit version of vaporware.

I get the feeling it's leaks of any sort of meetings, even just introductory, for buzz. I could see this becoming "to Universal" aka near it off site if it does happen.

But the one thing the boring company IS good at is killing of local transit initiatives on behalf of others. Plus, they're flaky at best.

I was thinking more along the "Hyperloop" concept since the Boring Tunnel is essentially a similar concept except with cars. Idea is to reduce as much friction as possible.

This is obviously all likely not to happen, just intrigued

If Kim Jung made a quicker and more efficient way to get to the parks; I'd listen, personally.
And Universal would be idiots to at least not entertain the meeting- and I would argue they have a fiduciary duty to shareholders to do so.

We already have an example of the Boring Company's handiwork. It's the Las Vegas hyperloop and it sucks. I would rather Universal spend it's money on more capacity for Epic than waste money on another one of that rich moron's boondoggles.

IF this is true, we have no concept of the details or agreements. It could all be tax grants from his buddy in the White House and cost universal nothing. Again; they have a responsibility to at least listen.

I’d say don’t work with an openly hostile Nazi who continuously ruins the products he owns. This is a no brainer, don’t do it. Florida can’t support anything underground in this timeline and climate change upcoming. Waste of money and time.
