I don’t like the content either. I don’t think they’re trying. They need to try harder. What’s the theme of Epic Universe?

You don't think they're trying with Hagrid?

Like, I'm not sure what you're trying to say at all since every example you've used of cost-cutting is actually an investment into the parks. I think F&F is bad but its addition is not a budget cut. Words have meanings.

A bunch of closures at once and that monstrosity called F&F opens. Hagrid’s and Bourne look great. But the fact that they closed some of the attractions without much notice in advance really sounds suspicious and doesn’t feel right. And I hope that SNL restaurant rumor in Citywalk is false. I’m tired of this forced synergy bs. If they want synergy, why can’t they stick with the classics like Back to the Future.

They did try with Hagrid. It looks amazing. I was talking about Jimmy Fallon, the slow and shitty bus ride, and weird decisions that just sound straight out of bizzarroworld.

THERE WE GO!

Stop trying to make up narratives around budget cuts when you're angry BttF (or any other old ride) is gone.

Don’t you think it was awkward that they urgently closed T2 when Judgment Day was back in theatres and they announced the new movie? And they’re still not finished with Bourne. WTF

Calm down dude. As for Fallon, it’s a highly rated ride by guests, so no, that wasn’t a mistake

No. Because Terminator is a dead franchise they don’t own.

I wasn’t making up narratives, I guess I didn’t make my message clear enough. Universal (and many other entertainment companies!) are dumbing down today’s pop culture. I’d rather live in the ‘90s-‘00s than this shitty era straight out of Idiocracy

Except T2 is a timeless movie. The iconic music score, the phrase “I’ll be back”, a body builder cyborg, it’s ingrained in our pop culture! Meanwhile, who cares about Jason Bourne?!

I have plenty of frustrations with pop culture today as well, but T2 the show sadly was dated. Shaq says hi.

Break from what? You guys don’t get it. By dumbing down pop culture, society is dumbed down, and therefore, is on the brink of collapse. Now we have a Camacho wannabe in the White House. Timelessness>new and shiny

I think you’re attributing some very ridiculous things to the changing of theme park rides.

For Terminator, they simply don’t have the rights. Like they just can’t do it. They tried getting Bond for the Bourne show but couldn’t secure the right, and since Bourne is its own franchise (Universal owned) it made much more sense. Also Terminator just flopped at the box office, hard.
Mainly tho it’s a rights thing and an older franchise, and more importantly and older franchise they do not own.

I understand his frustration...given the concerns in the world, it's easy to associate the older rides with a time when it felt like such concerns didn't exist. Let's just say it takes one to know one. Like Legacy said, "Classic Universal" can mean very different things to different people. For me, it's 2005 (year I first visited, obviously).

Theme parks are meant to be an escape from society’s woes. By shoe-horning in a dumb and unappealing ride concept like Jimmy Fallon, it ruins the park. Same thing with F&F, more stress/annoyance at a park than it should be.
