I’m just waiting for them to circle back to doing Christmas Island. Y’all think they can re-carve the Mythos face so it looks like Santa?

On WDWMagic a user said Universal Creative has become “development hell”.

Also @Alicia mentioned how they went back to the drawing board for this area so it seems we unfortunately may to have wait a little longer for dirt to start moving.

I'm expecting Wicked to be what replaces Lost Continent. It's a big Universal property that they want to add to parks and it seems Zelda is going to Epic based on Nintendo store

Since technically IOA is literature based, it would fit the vibe of the park since it is also a book

Whatever takes over the area, thats going to be some jarring land transitions... Seuss, to NOT-LC, to Potter lol

Is the SNW expansion pad large enough to split with the originally rumored Luigi's Mansion mini land and Zelda or has the former seemingly fallen by the wayside?

I think it's only 7 acres, so I'm guessing if they go with Zelda as apart of Epic then it'll be standalone. As much as a love luigi's mansion as a game, it would probably be another shooter ride like Mario kart which isn't need in the same land

I'm guessing a lot is in limbo right now-- waiting to see what happens with Epic and if they need to invest more in "fixes", as well as waiting to see what happens with the economy. The whole day by day fluctuations in tariffs make it really difficult to budget for any projects that will require materials coming from all around the world.

I'll be honest - I'm okay with Lost Continent sticking around for a bit longer. Ideally they'd maybe reopen Sinbad or put a new show there for the time being, but I'm okay with the focus being on USF and Epic right now.

UOR has a track record of working on multiple projects concurrently. They could very easily work on a project at all three parks at the same time, considering they had done so in 2019/2020. This is what I'm hoping for. Even if it's a small project, I want to see construction walls going up at each of the parks.

IOA's two dead zones (TL Amphitheatre and LC) have opposite problems. The area in TL is barren and boring, while LC still has enough visual intrigue that it leads the guest to suspect something cool is happening there when it isn't. Not sure which is worse for the guest experience.

There's enough infrastructure in LC that I can see why you'd want to re-use it, but part of me prefers them doing something between Spider-Man and Dudley. Not the biggest deal in the world, but man, if you put the big new land/E-ticket on the right side of the park, the left side is gonna be pretty pathetic in comparison.

Obviously, I'd like them to replace both while also overhauling parts of USF. Very curious what they decide to do.

Killing off Sinbad & Poseidon was such poor choices in the long run. But also didn't help not having an actual ride to balance out the remnants of the land didn't help.

Too bad Percy Jackson is a mouse house owned IP

If the operating costs were high compared to guest satisfaction scores, then it's better to kill them off even if they sit abandoned.

I'd imagine F&F is alive right now due to relatively low operating costs and UOR's stubbornness of wanting to get value out of their investment. Otherwise I'd toss that ride in there with Sinbad and Poseidon.

I kinda have the same opinion. The space between TL and MSHI isn't massive, but you can easily fit an E-ticket there as well as probably a dining and shopping location.

Didn't someone determine that Waterworld and its support facilities could probably fit there?

I’m liking Wicked for Lost Continent more and more now that Zelda may be earmarked for Epic. It can be a good, balanced land with the space filling holes IOA needs (E ticket family dark ride, stage show) and maybe an extra want (broom/flying monkey coaster through the land).

I know @Legacy has pointed out many times that it fits perfectly at Fear Factor, so I assume it would fit there too lol

Agreed that something should still be here. Crap, I'd sit there just watching people meander through the (old) Hagrid's temporary extended queue! :lmao:

But, and more importantly, @Alicia showed us that this was actually called "Sindbad".

A very Bernstein Bears situation, if you will.

I understand that Poseidon had many critical maintenance issues, but it’s still frustrating to see a grand attraction collecting mold and dust for a few years now with no plans anytime soon for a replacement. Ugh.

And particularly when it was so different from the other attractions in the park (and at the resort).
