I'd also argue the beauty of Pokémon isn't the locations, but the characters. Basically, it's not about seeing a lagoon, it's about seeing a Gyrados in it.

Exactly this.

A Pokemon land could be a replica of Battle Frontier or Pallet Town, as long as there's plenty of actual Pokemon in it.

Pokemon is a lot like Potter in that it's there's a bit of magical realism going on, except instead of trap streets and archaic monitary systems it's Pokemon. Plus don't forget the games have tons of locations to pull from - cities to caves to beaches to nature reserves to islands to volcanos.

Just give me actual sized Pokemon for meet and greets like Toothless. Just make Pokemon land the same as Berk. A lot of Pokemon moving about, trainers walking around, mix the environments a little.

Berk should absolutely be the inspiration here.

Berk has a very very distinctive and unique architectural style and overall setting.

I think they mean the interactive elements of Berk could work very well with Pokemon.

I would really like the massive Griffin statue to get relocated to somewhere in Port of Entry. Just cover up the "Lost Continent" engraving/plaque, and I think it would fit right into POE's aesthetic.

I 100% agree that Berk should be the "blueprint" for a Pokemon land. I honestly don't even need this land to be based on an existing town/area from the games.

Just give us a random town where the residents and Pokemon live together.

Give me Charizard breathing "fire" like the Ice Dragon in Berk.
Give me Blastoise spraying people with water.
Give me Piplups or Eevees fighting over food like the baby dragons in Berk.

The more I type.. this should be one of the easiest lands they've ever had to pull off lol.

Now this may be sheer coincidence, but there was a bit of filming taking place in Lost Continent.
It may or may not be related, but it feels like fitting timing...

So how many projects are all happening all at once around the parks now? The clearing/grading of the I-Drive property is making more and more sense if they’re going to be this aggressive with 4 or more major projects all happening at once.

I’m guessing that the seemingly more aggressive plans Disney is pursuing have to be affecting Universal’s plans and causing them to set more things in motion all at once.

It's possible that all these projects are 'in development' or 'greenlit,' but we may only see construction for up to three at a time. Especially considering we only have one project with visible construction right now (F&F) and that's going to open within one year. I'd be very happy to be proven wrong though.

Note: I'm counting an attractions or a land as one project, not counting hotels/restaurants/team member+ events spaces/etc.

I’m looking forward to groundbreaking for this new project. While I only enjoyed Lost Continent it’s time for something to take its place to get people utilizing that area of the park again.

While I am trying to trust Universal Creative, I worry that this is going to adversely impact Islands of Adventure's ambiance. Each "island" has always had a distinct feel and transported you. Toon Lagoon might have been a little weak in this area but it definitely had a fun setting. Lost Continent had an exotic feel and was so enjoyable as a place to walk through or to sit down and enjoy. I don't know much about Pokemon but, just doing some searches, I'm not sure that it has any distinct locations that would feel special. For someone who knows the game better, help me out. This isn't about interactivity on the rides or anything. This is about the setting that we walk through.

Pokemon has a ton of possibilities for beautiful and immersive lands. Pandora, Berk, Zootopia, World of Frozen, SNW, any of these could be a model of what we could see. I don't think we have anything to worry about.
