Universal buying in ride systems from Derbyshire — crazy times we’re living in…

The point about the UK project maybe makes sense although distance hasn’t stopped them shipping duplicates between Japan / USH / UOR when needed. I was looking forward to having some Oceaneering kit heading our way rather than the reverse!

Anyway, I’ll put myself down for a Snap safari omnimover. Still sounds like a cool idea and after Mario Kart my biggest hope for this is that they just keep it simple and fun.

It's great to see Derbyshire getting some love. I've worked with a company in Derbyshire that specializes in themed attractions... I wonder if they're going to be involved with this project as well...

That is what I was thinking as well. A nice omnimover style of ride (which everyone has wanted a nice indoor ride) and then another more thrilling style of ride.

Ignore the below. My computer must have liked your post so much that it quoted it twice.

That NoC is almost certainly not for any work in Lost Continent. I’d guess it’s something related to the JP refurb, based on its expiration date.

I don’t think they are signing up for something on 7/10/2026 for an refurb of JP which has nothing to do with his manufacturer.

The NoC is for the installation of equipment. They are not going to be ready to install any equipment in Lost Continent, much less completely done with its installation, by March of 2027.

This same company also specializes in shotgun/airgates. They did them for the JW refurb in Hollywood, JP refurb in Japan, as well as for Velocicoaster. My guess is JPRA is getting new airgates, and this NoC is for their installation.

If they only waited, they could just theme this entire space to the odyssey

I think they could have definitely, easily done an overlay for The Odyssey over there if there was any space open that wasn't all under construction but I don't think it would have permanent lasting potential.

I think the best chance we've got for Nolan in the parks is for him to be the MC of a Lights, Camera, Action clone over at Universal UK, similar to how Zhang Yimou acts as the local director for the Universal Beijing variant of the ride. By necessity, they'd probably have to theme the experience to the Odyssey since that's the only film they own that would be applicable to the parks.
