Some WDWMagic posters and Disney YouTubers are hoping AC gets saved for Marvel if Disney somehow got the rights back. Long shot scenario as all of us here know.

Why would they want Marvel so bad? Have they seen Avengers Campus?

Marvel Envy. A psychological disease inherent in Disney hard core fandom.

I could forgive it when there were no rides, but after the four they've built? Woof.

I posted my "Disney couldn't do a Simpsons Ride" take on WDW News and the host replied it's the "worst take he's heard in his 17-year career".

I guess I should be flattered?

To be fair, the biggest complaint about Avengers Campus was the lack of an E ticket. Infinity Defense sounds neat, and could turn around the perception of the land for some.

I hear your larger point, but even if the E-ticket is great, it's not going to retroactively make WEB Slingers not a huge and lazy waste of Spider-Man.

I don’t think any potential Disney attraction could better represent the property than the current ride. I don’t enjoy the ride that much because of the dated visuals, ride system and the incredibly slow loading queue, but I do usually laugh at the jokes and it definitely feels like watching The Simpsons.

I saw a clip of one of the VAs discussing the recording process for the ride, and she didn’t even fully process that it was for a ride and not an episode or a short.

I do not trust modern Imagineering to be as funny as would be needed for a Disney Simpsons attraction.

If they're aiming for the current quality of the show, then it should be a breeze!

Ok so… those vibes in the “universal Florida” thread huh? In all seriousness in the crazy event that somehow, Pokémon does NOT replace Simpsons
What else could possibly replace Simpsons? I mean they legally have too, and they are already surveying at Disney for Simpsons, so it’s unlikely it could be extended. This is all HYPOTHETICALS. Because I sure as heck do not know.

Dude. I can appreciate your enthusiasm, but the sheer number of posts declaring "certain" outcomes and posing hypotheticals is getting out of hand. This isn't a Discord.

You are making assumptions. Many people who pay attention to these things predict that Disney will not renew the agreement Universal has with FOX re: Simpsons, but they are educated predictions - not guarantees. Surveys from Disney don't necessarily mean anything one way or the other. You can't keep couching what you're saying is "hypothetical" when you're leading with "they legally have to."

It's also not a crazy outcome that Pokemon doesn't replace Simpsons. A whole bunch things could replace that area if/when the time comes.

Just because Simpsons may have to close, doesn’t mean Universal has to immediately replace it.

Food for thought: If they need a little more time to come up with a replacement, they could always just bring back the Back to the Future ride as a temporary quick fix. The old ride system is there, it would essentially just be a light reskin.

They could even turn Springfield into hill valley and fast food boulevard into cafe 80s! Unlikely but who knows.
