Whenever the day comes that Springfield goes away - they need to find a way to preserve the taco truck lol

We've known for half a decade that Disney is trying really hard to integrate Simpsons into the larger Disney brand in the same way Star Wars, Muppets, and Marvel have. This is just the biggest push from them we've seen.

If Disney was able to wrestle the theme park rights to Marvel, I'm certain they would. We'll see what happens with Simpsons.

I mean, assuming the contract is actually up in 2028, Universal really doesn't hold any cards.

I just can't imagine Disney incorporating anything Simpsons-related on a large scale in any of their parks.

They do have one BIG card: we have an open land you can make money on now.

So are they keeping it or not? With HHN taking up 10 house spaces (not to mention the queue/exit space) now I fully understand why they might be hesitant to do much construction in this area. If Pokemon is slotted to LC, would Wicked be slotted here?

I like the idea of Wicked here. Use a bit of the expansion space where the hhn tents are for the ride. DreamWorks Land could be replaced with a Wicked expansion; Munchkinland could work for a kids' area if they still want to have similar offerings.

If Wicked part 2 is a box office hit and Universal is hellbent on getting it into their parks, The Simpsons plot could be ideal for the type of scale it should be. But another wildcard is if they want to bring Shrek back to UOR in a big way if Shrek 5 does well, the DW land could expand the Shrek portion to take over Simpsons as someone on here suggested on here or the USF in general thread.

If Shrek 5 does well they should raze DreamWorks for a proper Far Far Away.

Folks... Dreamworks land is here for the next 20 years. Zero question.

Now Animal Actors? That could easily be gone at some point, but that's as close as they get to Dreamworks Land.

You could actually fit a Shrek dark ride akin to Pets in that spot if you get creative and stack it. If Universal has no plans to expand the DW land beyond AA, Wicked is the next best thing for the Simpson plot.

My vote is still for a fleshed out Far Far Away land. Tons of food/bev options to keep the same amount of food offerings in the park after Springfield is gone, and the location next to Dreamworks fits nicely. I think they may wait to decide whether or not to put a larger Shrek presence in the parks until after the movie is out, but I can't see any way that doesn't do boffo box office numbers. Shrek's popularity is multi generational and popular through memes and stuff with the younger crowd too.

I would love to see Far Far Away at a Universal park. I love the idea of a full parody land poking fun at Magic Kingdom. It would hit a lot of the themes that made Simpson's/Springfield work for me (ignoring all the reasons it didn't).

But this may be my unpopular opinion: I don't want to see any castles at USF. That includes Zelda and LOTR. IOA and Epic, to me, work so much better with those kinds of castle / fantasy lands. I'd much prefer USF get something that relates to a modern town or city (even it's a cartoon town like Springfield).

Completely forgot this existed.

This looks fine for Singapore, but hopefully a US version wouldn't just be a clone of this.

Universal board: “Perfect! Convert The Simpsons vehicles into Shrek buggies and we can go on a 3D adventure through the swamp and far far away.”

BTTF ride prolonged for another 25 years.

Shrek is old, washed, and just a cynical therapy session for Jeffrey Katzenberg. A play area and meet and greet is more than enough for a 25 year old property.
