USF needs to return to family-friendly, low height requirement, physical-based experiences. Attractions that are fun to experience together and don't jostle you in front of a screen.

All of the park's family-friendly experiences are screen-based (Minions, Fallon, F&F, Simpsons, Transformers), except for MIB* and E.T.

*MIB's spinning reduces the number of guests capable of riding.

Not sure why Bourne and Horror Make-Up get snubbed. Not appropriate for little kids I guess?

Not sure why DW gets snubbed. Not appropriate for adults I guess?

Not sure why Animal Actors gets snubbed. I've got nothing on this one.

Also...

I miss rides like Kongfrontation and Jaws, when the giant animals trying to murder me were at least family friendly.

Should have been more specific, was just highlighting the E/D-ticket level ride attractions.

FYI- I categorize family-friendly as attractions that vast majority of guests can enjoy together and have somewhat equal interest. For example, the majority of guests enjoy Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, etc. DreamWorks leans toward the younger demographic with its focus on play areas. (I wish we can get a family dark ride back there).

I'm ok with Universal being "edgy" in experiences... just wish the ride systems were less restrictive.

Also those family friendly rides? 40" and 51" height requirements.

This is where an acquisition of WB would be really interesting. Imagine the Simpsons land being turned into Superman’s Metropolis. Imagine the aging Marvel land turned into a state of the art Gotham City. Comcast CEO Brian Roberts needs to get the deal done because it would really supercharge the parks, imo.

Keep the structure of the Spidey ride but change it to Batman, a character that they will control under the merger.

They'd need to overhaul the entire Marvel Island to make it Gotham, to the point where it could literally be replaced by any other IP. It would be a faster switch to make it Transformers (see Beijing) than it would be to swapping it to Gotham.

There's no good reason they'd want to get rid of Marvel, even if they acquired WB (including DC).

But sign me up to realistic versions of Gotham and Metropolis coming to USF. They'd just need to 1) buy WB, 2) get theme park rights (Six Flags may have the rights), and 3) not be in a contract with Marvel which precludes Marvel's competitor DC from coming to UOR.

Although we are purely delving into hypotheticals here, I believe the Marvel contract prohibits DC Comics from being featured anywhere else at the resort. If DC is added, Marvel would have to go away.

Great point, and I added a note in my original post about that. (How sure are we that the contract says that? I feel like that's obvious it would say that, but I also thought it was obvious that Disney would never use Marvel characters at their Orlando parks.)

But I still wouldn't imagine they'd get rid of Marvel just to replace it with DC. They'd likely want a huge amount of money from Disney to end that contract.
