The Future of The Simpsons Ride/Springfield (Orlando)

For me with whatever IP replaces Simpsons, are we using space behind the land to expand the footprint? Is it even available? That matters to me big time in terms of what could replace it.

IIRC the sprung tents to the left of Simpsons are slated to be removed so whatever replacement can presumably expand into it. I once played with Google earth and measured something in the 80-100K square feet range if the old sprung tent area is lumped in with the current Simpsons plot.

Why?

Because the park's lineup needs to get rebalanced aware from simulatory experiences. Which means either some of the simulators have got to go, or a dark ride needs to be put somewhere that results in a net gain.

Dark ride would be nice, but I'll take an indoor boat-ride or coaster. Anything besides another screenz ride due to USF's heavy reliance on screenz (even the good attractions like Bourne or Gringotts are screenz).

But I'm not sold on why USF would need this to be family/no height requirement. USF has plenty of low height rides. Most of the rides at USF are 40" inches, which is 3 or older on average. ET is 34", Trollercoaster is 36", Villaincon is no height requirement, the three shows are no height, the dance party/play area/etc is no height.

This isn't the first time I've seen the "no height" agenda being pushed. Did several people on the forums have kids recently or something?..

I think "no height" is more being used as a euphemism for "more traditional dark ride format."

USF could use another proper dark ride, but it doesn't necessarily need to be whatever replaces Simpsons. DreamWorks expansion or a Supercharged full replacement could be a suitable spot for one.

I'd like non-screen-heavy dark rides* in all these spots.

*I would also take a heavily-themed indoor coaster in one of these places.

IMO, and I say this from the slant of not consuming any Wicked content yet, Emerald City is a "reveal moment" location, and not a "see across the lagoon" location. I just don't think they can do that with the Simpson's plot. Epic portal makes a lot more sense to me for Oz.

I think I just ... don't understand this perspective? One of the most iconic shots in cinema history, and the iconic Emerald City design is a "looking from over the horizon"-type shot.
