The ticket site for Wet and Wild states tickets must be used by 12/31/16.
I am coming down for HHN and saw that they are offering 19.99 admission to Wet and Wild with AP.
My question is how much is parking at Wet and Wild ?

Interesting wrinkle. Wet n Wild owner sues condo association, county - Orlando Sentinel

The owner of Wet 'n Wild has sued a nearby condominium association and Orange County to stop drainage of stormwater into a manmade water body known as Sandy Lake.

Universal Studios Water Parks LLC sued The Enclave at Orlando Condominium Association and Orange County last week in Orange Circuit Court.

Universal says it owns nearly all of Sandy Lake, a manmade water body behind Wet 'n Wild. According to the lawsuit, The Enclave owns property next to the lake.

The lawsuit says that without Universal's knowledge or consent, the county and the Enclave have permitted developers and other private-property owners to drain stormwater into an easement that ultimately flows into the Sandy Lake property.

The lawsuit says this has "added pollutants to Sandy Lake which, if allowed to continue, threatens serious risk to human health as well as environmental hazards. Such unrestrained drainage will further inhibit UWP's use of the UWP Sandy Lake Property and require expensive measures by UWP to clean Sandy Lake."

The lawsuit seeks an injunction stopping the activity and damages in excess of $15,000.

Wet 'n Wild will shut down next year as Universal prepares to open Volcano Bay water park at its resort in 2017. Universal has not said what its plans are for the Wet 'n Wild property.

Orange County and Universal declined to comment. The Enclave could not be reached for comment.

This is interesting. Could this be a little foreshadowing of future plans? Getting the stormwater runoff from other properties diverted now, so that, in the future, they can fill in the lake and use it to build on?

It sounds to me like they want the lake to look nice. They have to justify the price of the lake view rooms.

The OBJ had an article about this topic yesterday. Nothing really new. But a good summation.

http://www.bizjournals.com/orlando/...l-orlando-s-rumored-plans-for-wet-n-wild.html

Towards the end it gives a hint at Universal's opposition to The Skyplex.

Very interesting, this plot of land is quite a bit smaller than the Disney Springs footprint though. Would it be possible that they take a model similar to USH to get more room out of what they have?
The wording around the Attraction that doesn't fit within the parks is kind of interesting too. Once they said that, the only thing I could think of was something like Disney Quest.

I have a hard time believing that they won't be using that plot for hotels, but we'll see

I believe that there are 2 hotels planned for that plot. But they will have a smaller footprint and be tallish.

That should leave plenty of space for Ent/Dining/retail.

I imagine we'll get an announcement for this project sometime next year?

I'm beginning to think that UO should just start up a crane company. It has got to be near the break even point for them renting them out vs buying them. They have what 10 now?

Makes their opposition to Skyplex all the more disingenuous. OK for me but not for thee.

Skyplex released newer renderings of the surf attractions.

I'm seeing something along the lines of Disney's Boardwalk going over here. Basically, the vast majority of it will be for a hotel but some of it will be sort of like a mini CityWalk.

That's what I was saying when it went down. Universal wasn't afraid The Skyplex would fail and become an eyesore. They are afraid it will be a success and be direct competition to the complex they are going to build on the wet n wild plot.

I would add to this all of the south of Hollywood Way hotels, especially Cabana.

I got completely bored earlier let my imagination run wild with what could be done here. If you completely flattened Wet N Wild and the car parks and moved them onto the empty Wet N Wild car park, you would be left with plenty of room for a 3rd gate. The current car park uses about 89 acres, more than Islands of Adventure. The current car parks would easily fit in the area.

You could turn the Wet N Wild land into a transport centre and a CityWalk South using the lake as a boardwalk. Ideally you could create an underground train system that would connect to Volcano Bay and Cabana Bay and directly into CityWalk. Obviously this wouldn't work because of how high the water level but I think it would create a great impression, rising from the ground into the heart of Universal.

Anyway, here are some photos with the acres of the areas I mentioned.

Are those measurements correct? Everything I've read about Wet & Wild, adjacent parking lots & operation buildings total is considerably less than 89 acres (about half that). Or am I'm reading your post wrong?

Universal doesn't own all the land that is highlighted in the last frame.

Right, I was under the impression they only owned the parking lot in the upper left corner. Perhaps they own some of the undeveloped green area as well, but that is it.

I've got way mixed up with this. I don't know why but I thought they owned all the land where I placed the car park. Somebody posted this in the first page.

One can dream. Was a silly idea anyway and wildly impractical and expensive.
