I'd bet they'd tear the entire thing down and use the space as fast as possible and using the plot as a form of..holding area for the time being.

I would suspect that Infastructure is going to start in the next 1 to 2 years for the plot down near the OCCC so it would therotically make sense that they hold off plans for the Wet and Wild area for the time being. Hell, I could see them using the parking lot as an overflow space if they need too, and have buses take guests from that parking lot to the transportation hub at UONorth.

I was somewhat surprized by how quickly signs are coming down etc. I cant imagine they would use any of the slides again at volcano bay but would they sell them or just scrap them like the hulk track?

This thread is going to be THE one to follow over the next year or so, particularly since we don't know exactly what is going here yet. I suspect it'll be Jaws level of dismantling/demolition before you know it.

edit: This facebook page Wet 'n Wild Orlando - Orlando, Florida - Water Park | Facebook has some photos and videos of the last day (including the countdown pyro show for the close)

Sad. I had some really fun times in this park. Any info on these slides being ported over anywhere?

Maybe they will be, but knowing how Uni likes to move fast, I'd more expect them just to scrap the whole park so they can restart with an empty plot of land ASAP.

I am wondering if they sell some of the newer products from there; but yeah, I'd expect a lot of it to be basically in the rip.tear.kill situation.

Has anybody seen a good park retrospective for Wet N Wild? I know that a lot of older Universal attractions have great photo tours / videos of the attractions before they close.

I'm expecting that we'll see the former WnW parking lot filling up with construction workers and materials fast. They are just out of room at the main property and need to start staging more stuff over there for all the projects they've got brewing at once.

I will be curious to see if the slides are carefully disassembled because someone is buying some of them or if they just rip them down and send them to the scrap heap.

I'd be curious of Aqua Drag and Blastaway being sold off or reused at the Beijing Waterpark (which has been somewhat leaked by plans coming out); but i'd expect a lot of the slides to be in the rip.tear.kill situation due to the amount of years that those slides have been at the park; with the potential of corrosion, wear, and tear in the sense of a lot of the slides.
