Point is MCU was HUGE and in the past two years has lot steam.....because they got lazy with writing and have no real direction along with too many shows and movies which feels like HW to many

I’ll be honest, I did not care about The Marvels at all until I binged Ms. Marvel on a flight. Now I actually have interest. Not because of Carole or Monica… but purely Kamala.

Just give me a Ms. Marvel movie with Captain and Spectrum as cameos. Kamala is fun and tonally unique from the rest of the universe.

Ms. Marvel is one of my favorite MCU shows. Sure the villain is sub-par stuff but that’s a consequence of wanting to not use any big villains in Disney+ shows.

This looks like the most generic MCU movie ever. I don't know what the hook of this movie is even supposed to be besides "Watch these heroes team up!" But nothing about it looks interesting which is sad to say because I love the three leads, just wish they had something to do.

I kinda don't even want to, but I will be going to see this movie on Thursday. I'm not expecting much tbh. Only reason i'm going is because it's kinda been tradition with my friends to see MCU movies on the Thursday they come out since I met these specific friends and I at the very least I get to hang out with them. Otherwise, i'd probably be waiting for this movie to go to Disney+.

I know exactly what the "bit" is that he talks about. It sounded like an incredibly stupid idea from the moment I heard it, because I knew it would be a movie-shattering deal-breaker for some viewers (like it apparently was for Kristian).

I doubt it will be good but....I honestly didn't care for the first film and bet I like this one more because at least Miss Marvel is in it

Eternals had such great ideas...but it was an adult series forced into an MCU film

She never seemed to like the MCU

Like in interviews she rarely seems to be having fun and her acting in the films has been stiff....and yes not everyone can be Robert Downy Jr but he just knocked it out of the park first film he was in the MCU and even Chris Even's by his second film had found his voice.....we will see with Marvels but she just doesn't seem to be into the role much from the 3 films she has been in so far and one cameo

They wrote her out of Endgame pretty hard, justifiably so as she was kind of a dumb Deus Ex Machina character to pull out 2 months before the MCU's finale. But my issue with her first movie was that her character and movie just felt like a mishmash of every popular MCU hero up to that point without much of a personality of her own. Snarky like Tony, Fish out of Water like Thor, Pop music and Retro iconography like the Guardians, Stoic like Cap, but none of it ever quite landed for me or worked well. At least Ant-Man, Dr. Strange, and Black Widow had interesting and distinct personalities, roles, and aesthetics even if their solo films weren't all that great. Cause it meant that, at worst, those films were mediocre set-up for an incredibly fun character in a group crossover film setting. I just don't know what Captain Marvel would bring to the table, she's kinda dull and frankly too powerful to care about.

I'd hope this film would bring down her power level quite a bit with the split abilities gimmick and giving her two other characters to bounce off of. Monica is also kind of whatever in Wandavision IMO, but I've heard good stuff about Ms. Marvel from people who have seen it. Though with these early reviews... who knows haha! Not gonna see it anyway until it comes on Disney+ and we get an Avengers-level film where it's neccesary viewing again. They've not hooked me like they did back in 2019 pre-Endgame, I'm not buying a ticket for Captain Marvel 2, sorry Disney. Stop devaluing your brand with streaming within 4 months of release, and maybe I'll consider leaving my home theatre set-up.

Just finished the movie, LOVED IT. It isn't perfect but I had the most fun I've had in an MCU film with this movie and I just was smiling the whole time. Please don't listen to the reviews people it's really fun
