It seems to have done well

Like I know synergy can be meh sometimes but would loveeeeee them to do something leading up to the Miss Piggy Movie

I don't need like 20 episodes a year but Disney has a lot of fun actors in the MCU and star Wars as well and would not mind them doing some more Pigs in Space and what not to also promote other films and while your at it film an episode here and there

Like its too soon but things like having a special for America 250th birthday would have been a home run

I loved this pilot (and love the original). I hope we don't have to wait too long for more episodes, though I imagine it won't be until 2027 just based on this generation's production schedule. Still, there's a ton of fun they can do, and like you mentioned, Disney has a ton of actors in their world they can use that would lend themselves well to the Muppets.

I hear there have been difficulties cracking a premise for an ongoing Muppet Show series that Disney (Disney+ and 20th TV), The Muppets Studio and Point Grey will all be on board for.

There are no active series conversations about at the moment, sources said.

'The Muppet Show' Series Order Status After Special Wins 4 Emmys

'The Muppet Show' special got big viewership and four Emmys. Where is the Disney+ series order for the backdoor pilot? A look inside.

Downright embarrassing. This company’s ownership of the IP continues to be an insult to the emotion of joy and the feeling of whimsy. The show’s concept has existed for ages. The revival attempt won 4 Emmys and had millions of views proving it clearly can still work. What about this is a hard case to crack?

So frustrating. They literally just need to do the same exact thing they did with the one-episode proof-of-concept and they'd have an absolute banger on their hands. I'm guessing they just don't want to pay the puppeteers/muppetteers what it would cost to do a full season. Disney is cheap, after all.

I just hate Disney with the Muppets

They have no idea and anytime they hit gold they walk away

Also like I know they got the coaster at WDW but there is nothing at Dinseyland....bring them to the Magic Eye theater which is literally just playing shorts you can watch on Disney plus

But both the Looney Tunes are stuck in hell with WB and Muppets with Disney....neither know how to use them

Disney has so many excellent IP's, it seems they don't know what to do with many of them. Kind of 'too much good stuff' problem. Universal could use a few sympathy hand me down IP's from Disney :lmao: .

This is the biggest sign of the immense ineptitude of the Modern Disney Corporation to me.

I know we are at a point in history where society is ruled at all levels by dunces. But even acknowledging that, you kinda have to figure it would be easy to put a show on your streaming service where puppets sing and dance and hangout with whatever celebrity is relevant to your current corporate synergy goal.

This seems pretty thinly sourced, even by Deadline standards (which are, IMO, pretty low). I'm taking this with a couple grains of salt, even though I am also surprised there hasn't been official movement on green lighting a full series.

How about a series about getting the Muppets back together again to stop an evil oil baron from demolishing the old studio?
