What's your take on Mission: Space, in regards to this? Not direct queue lines from room to room, but numbered and "lined-up" spots that go from the main Preshow room to the individualized smaller pre-flight video hallway.

I think that counts since it's guided. Rides that have assigned seating on a cycling ride will have a load like this. Minions does something similar.

  • Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge. I see what they're going for here, but the non-verbal delivery simply doesn't work. People don't have the attention spans or the critical thinking to follow what the vague cues are telling you to do, and they forget all the instructions by the time they actually get on a vehicle. Many probably don't even understand that the ride is essentially an interactive shooting gallery with more steps until the ride has already started. They already bothered to allow Toad and Toadette to speak elsewhere, so they should've bitten the bullet (bill) and let Lakitu deliver actual dialogue to explain what's going on. Furthermore, there should only be one preshow room. I have no idea why there are two. I actually enjoy the ride quite a lot, more than many here, but the interminable length of these preshows are a big reason why I don't do it all that much out here in Hollywood.

Isn't this kind of how queue elements like Scuttle in Voyage of the Little Mermaid or Mr. Potato Head in Toy Story Mania are handled? They don't require you to stop to watch them, but they feel similar.

Ok so I got my mental image wrong, what Code means is a preshow where there's formed lines that move from preshow room to preshow room. Tomb Raider the Ride at KI did this for their preshow rooms and to load. There were, I belive, three rows of guests that moved through the preshows, with each group being one load of the Top Spin. There were at least two preshows before the ride.

Joe got it - like I mentioned, a larger scale of what they do for the rules rap on Jimmy Fallon.

It would avoid the stampede of people rushing towards the exits or crowding near them, and would help team members with the "everyone stand inside the red box" scenarios.
