Watching a periscope of someone going through; and all I'll say is wow.

Also (kind of a spoiler?) to my surprise the attraction does feature Negan in a pretty obscure cameo. Very nice touch.

Just saw a picture of the burning cabin, it looks impressively well done. Cannot wait for July 10th!

That media event looked pretty cool! I caught the live Periscope of it. Excited to see pics from the inside. This may be the thing that makes me finally "renew" my AP.

Anyone care to share these periscope links?

I'm sure a low light video will be posted sooner than later, but looking at it my initial impression is that it's visually impressive, but seems to peak early with the amazing burning cabin scene. The bloody outdoor queue and eerie hospital queue are enough to ward off any scared children, and you can see the chicken exit right before the "Don't Open/Dead Inside" doors, which of course can be viewed right from there. So I have to hand it to Murdy in doing literally everything possible to help in the common case of dumb tourist syndrome.

Otherwise there's not really much else to say... some impressive animatronics but it's a walkthrough haunt. It is what it is.

I can totally see this coming to Orlando in lieu of the heavy delay of Fast and Furious, by the way.

Here's a phenomenal preview that also shows the burning zombie more clearly.

The scares definitely seem butchered down, and appears to be more immersive than anything else. I'd say props for bringing this world to life, but I really wish the scare factor was amped up a bit.

At around the 0:50 mark, you can here a manager/employee saying that by Saturday, "we're running".  ;)

It will be during HHN. The intent is that the daytime version is tamer with less scareactors, but functions a bit more as a set walkthrough (and keeps down on staffing), but during HHN the place will be buzzing with tons of walkers.

Hmm.. well some of it looks pretty good. I like the burning cabin effect. On the other hand, the "dead inside" hands look very mechanical. Hope that just requires tuning.

It's going to be really interesting how the HHN crowd reacts to this maze. They're definetly aiming for atmosphere aside from just "in your face" type scares. That's not to say it's tamer than HHN, it's just... different. In a good way, IMO. I'm not sure if this was the attraction USH needed but there is a lot of heart put into it for sure.

Well that answers that!

If you've been to HHN Orlando frequently then you'll feel right at home. While yes, the walker count will be amped up during HHN, it's still a very different experience from a traditional HHN maze. I only wish it was longer but I can't wait to see it with all the effects working!
