OMG Guys the Ellen video was awesome!

It will air friday but it was shown during the live taping

You get good looks at the storefronts

They Get served butterbeer

They go inside honeydukes

They try the love potion gum, the little kid said it didn't taste good lol

Then they fill a whole suitcase full of candy

Then They go in the owl post

The kids get brooms (ellens broom is a swiffer lol)

They go in Ollivander's (ellens wand is a metal detector lol)

The go in Dumbledore's office, ellen swiffers his desk

They find copy of ellen's books amoung his collection of books

There are Beauxbatons outside dancing

They rode Flight of the Hippogriff

They had a snowball fight

There was video shot in another store that showed quidditch balls and other memorabila

and ellen wrapped them in a giant gryffindor scarf and told they kids since it wouldn't be open for a couple months she would have to cast a spell on them to forget everything they just saw

Oh VERY cool indeed! I can't wait to watch it!

Thats awesome! Do you have a link to the video? I guess they did ride FJ if they were in dumbledore's office. They probabally weren't allowed to have cameras. But anyway, thanks for the update!

They could have just gone on the queue and left...

I think a previous poster on here a page or two back said Ellen did not ride Forbidden Journey. No one has been able to ride the attraction as of yet. When someone has and we hear word of it, we will keep you posted with up-to-the-minute information on that! :)

RE FJ and people on it - rss1 stated it was circulating in Feb. If SAS is correct in that it will soft open in mid April I would expect two weeks out people would have been on it.

If not then don't hold out much hope for a long soft opening!!!

I expressed my thoughts in that other thread too, but my opinion is that THIS is the WWoHP thread (where we come to theorize, learn details and discuss it all regarding the WWoHP) so I think that if anyone doesn't want to read about the spoilers, they should go elsewhere. (That sounds harsh, sorry, but why should my lazy self accomodate the wants of the people who don't want to read spoilers? I don't want to be keeping track of what was said here and there and yadda yadda yadda) Maybe a happy middle would be to ask the admins to re-introduce the "Spoiler" option, where we can put something in between spoiler tags, so that when it's posted you have to click the "spoiler" button to open that part of the post and read spoiler if you want, and those who don't wanna be spoiled simply don't open the spoiler part and skip over it. How does that sound? Admins? is that possible?

Agreed, "Spoiler Tags" would be nice. Didn't we have those before the major change BriMan created for the site a few months ago?

EDIT: Thank you Ralphoutloud, appreciate it very much.

Sounds like I had the right idea that Ellen would go inside some shops & give the contest winners a shopping spree in Honeydukes maybe I'm psychic lol. Can't wait until the show airs. The new details are very exciting also & I say as long as you give warning it's a spoiler why not keep in here. Maybe that because I'm just too lazy to go to the other topic. Good to know for those who want it the pub will have something with a bit of kick

Yep looks like you are psychic. I am lazy too. That's why I bookmarked both topics. In fact I bookmark them on the page I leave off at each day & delete the old bookmark, so I don't have to try to remember where I left off when a lot of pages are added.

BTW someone asked how much a broom would cost. They have some on the Noble Collection the Nimbus 2001 is $245 http://www.noblecollection.com/catalog/product.cfm?id=NN7535&catid=21 & the Firebolt is $295 http://www.noblecollection.com/catalog/product.cfm?id=NN7536&catid=21 I'm willing to bet those will be sold there.

Didn't SAS state that it would soft open April 9? Or did that change?

I hope merchandise isn't so expensive. I know Universal is trying to make a profit off of this extraordinary place, but please don't make a majority of it hundreds of bucks...jeez lol.

Well a lot will still be exclusive items with the WWoHP logo but some of these things are bound to be there. Don't worry too much though this it the only item (& maybe 1 or 2 more things from that site) that I could see showing up in those shops with that kind of price tag. (the chess set & bookends maybe)

If you've ever been on T2:3D, the gift shop sells cheap stuff, mid-range stuff, and full-size collectibles ($400+). I'm pretty sure that Filch's Emporium of Confiscated Goods will have the exact scheme.

Yep, I've been in all the gift shops lol. Same comparison could go for the shops in Marvel Super Hero Island where there are huge dioramas that go for $300 or more. Example: Original Iron Man Mask in glass display case. You guys are right...there's going to be a wide range of prices.
