Thanks for the updates!

The food sounds... AMAZING!!! Cannot WAIT for the butterbeer and the pumpkin juice!! And the cauldron cakes... :drool5:
I'm going to gain twenty pounds when I go!! And I'm super excited for the frozen butterbeer. We're going in July so we'll need it!
If only I were two years older and could have the Hog's Brew... I guess I'll just have to ask my daddy to let me have a sip of his. :sneaky:

Why do all the good updates occur in the middle of the night?? I have PT in 5 hours and I stayed up even longer to read these articles. And here I am posting this reply and further procrastinating on sleep.

Thanks for sharing those articles! I found a recipe for butterbeer a few months ago and have yet to try it. Part of me just wants to wait for the real deal now. It's 2am here in Florida and I am suddenly starving for all that food!

I expect SAS was reffering to a soft of the area, and not just a soft of FJ. Though it all depends on when the rest of the scenes for the ride will show up. If they show up soon I can imagin them being installed and tested in enough time for a april 13th soft. Though I doubt it....

***Spoilers***

Wow, lots of awesome updates! I like the idea of the shadow of the Dragons on top of the tents! If we are going to see the Flying Ford Anglia, I am pretty sure there must be an opening in the side of the tent to see the forest. I wonder if they will give the car wild characteristics. So the Great Hall hasn’t been cut, it just isn’t the loading station anymore? (This makes sense, the RoR transforms into what you want it to, and the Great Hall is for eating). Moving staircase, check!

If we are seeing the Great Hall, why is the stature of the Architect of Hogwarts down a corridor, along with the Hour glasses? I really hoped that we would have been able to have entered the Potions classroom, not just hear a lesson going on (which may get repetitive). The 48 soundtracks from the films, YAY! The food sounds great, and the effects in the Three Broomsticks like the pots. Also the moving chocolate frogs, Wizard Wheezes merchandise will be great. And Aragog is confirmed! (So is the Basilisk pretty much).

There is so much detail going into this! Does anyone know how many years of planning it took? I know that the art director from the films was helping a lot, but I haven’t heard much about the architect lately… Is he still involved?

Bummer that Butter Beer won't be sold in separate bottles. I was hoping to get some to take home.

Watching HBP tonight, I noticed that Ollivander's windows on Diagon Alley had the bars below the windows.

excatly what I have been asking in the FJ spoiler thread.

But it seems like yep, the statue is just a props randomly placed in a "corridor" and not the Entrance Hall like we all imagined.

I am so happy ATLEAST a tiny FORM of moving starcase is IN!!!!
I was worried that was not in at all!

i still doubt the great hall, I belive we see it special effect video form, and not real room. I wish it was tho!

About the potions class, you are right, i wish too. Because we are suppose to enter from the Dungeon level of Hogwarts,
Where Snape class is AT!!! but I guess we cant have everything!
but, is Snape class going to be a door with sound (FROM SNAPE?????)

I mean I want the bathroom with Myrtel to take a piss in,
but I cant have everything I want, I know.

Sorry about posting on both threads, its just the ***SPOILERS*** thread hasn't really taken off yet, and more questions are being answered here.

THIS IS WHERE I HEARD ABOUT THE STAIRCASE

!***SPOILERS***! "Start"

**Forbidden Journey Spoilers**

They did say this about Dumbledore's office that I haven't heard, and from Thierry Coup's response, it seems that they may be true.

Will the Phoenix be there? How about the Pensieve, the bowl that re-creates memories? "No one will be disappointed. It's all there," Coup says.
Interesting

You'll see the Great Hall. You'll meet the Sorting Hat. You'll go through the portrait room, with more than 100 portraits, and see moving, talking images of the four founders of Hogwarts - Salazar Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Godric Gryffindor. You'll walk right by a moving staircase. You'll encounter Draco Malfoy, Rubeus Hagrid and other characters - you'll catch a glimpse of the Weasley twins and their sister, Ginny.
You'll have your own "close encounter" with the Whomping Willow. You'll meet lots of demons before you wind up at the Quidditch competition - including Aragog (the enormous hungry spider) and, yes, evil Lord Voldemort.
Didn't someone confirm that Voldemort won't be on the ride?!

**End Spoilers!**

And about Hogsmeade, looks like there will be snow!

Because Hogsmeade is above the tree line in Scotland, Universal has dappled the rooftops with fake snow that sparkles; expect to be surprised by "snowfall" as you meander the village.
"Magical things are going to happen. Atmospheric things, magic come to life. Inside somewhere, where you least expect it," Daurio says.
About the music in WWoHP

Background music will play throughout the Wizarding World - 48 tracks from the films will evoke memories from the movies, including "Hedwig's Theme," the signature tune that has opened several of the films.
Sorry if I am reiterating anything, but some of these are things I personally haven't heard yet.

EDIT:

Also, I don't know if the frozen drink thing was confirmed or not. I'm looking forward to seeing the Wizarding World stein, hopefully it's cooler than that silver one in the conectp art, ulness that was just what the regular cup looks like.

You can buy it chilled or as a frozen drink, and you can choose to have it in a souvenir Wizarding World stein for an additional charge.

!***SPOILERS***! "Finish"

I hope all this is true, but it probably isnt due to they say: ***SPOILER-Voldemort is in the Forbidden Journey-SPOILER-END***

awesome Descendo

I guess, finally, the newsday article is the most complete answer to all our questions?
I hope, they report it right.
Since you know, sometimes, misunderstanding creates faulse reports and all.

one moving staircase is better than nothing.
I am soo relived.
because i knew that moving staircase is a element that cant be cut.
But from a theme park construction stand point
is not feasible. Too dangerous for guests to walk ON a moving staircase
and no way that in real life they can re-create that set.

but to create something that you get to pass by and see, is possbile.
that is great.

but I dont think it is the actual staircase with protrait like in the movie
becasue obviously, like with the architect statue, there is NO ENTRANCE HALL
which connects the moving staircase, great hall, and the entrance courtyard together.

I guess these elements will all be seperated.

kitfisto92 posted that on Page 38 so don't give me the credit for finding it...:tigger:

It is too bad that even though Universal had the Set designer/Architect from the films making it, Hogwarts may look nothing like in the films... Does anyone know if to get to into Dumbledores office, we go up the Griffin Spiral Staircase?

no problems. Just thanks for responding to my question.
Of course THANKS to kitfisto for the news finding!

most of my worries are gone now.

Only thing left is COVERING THE SHOWING BUILDING!!!!!!!
no matter what, it is going to take me out of the fantasy when I see the big-o-plain show building

TREE experts!!! out there!
can anything be done there???
did UC really dont have enough budget money to cover this problem? (atleast in the near future)

Oh Descendo, I totally doubt the Griffin Spiral Staircase for the office entering.
Because if you look at the Jaxnews video,
it shows that we pass by it, and enter it thru the opening at the left side.

Obviously, this is fine, because there is no way the spiral moving staircase will work
spiralling thousands of time a day to move guests around in the queue.
Is too bad, but is fine in a theme park magic sort of way.

(think Tower of Terror, preshow we are suppose to go into the basement, but we never went DOWN always stay on ground level)
but scenery change makes us think we went down stairs.

--- Update ---

yep, like you and me said

the theme park hogwarts will be close in theme, but

most rooms and locations and props will be placed differently then the movies.

Hey, MIB is like that. The set is really close to the movies, but not excatly.

still, a REAL ENTRANCE HALL replica would have made all the difference tho.
then all the other rooms, I wouldnt care if they were different inside deep in the castle.

I'm quite intrigued as to how they are going to make some of these minor toucher happen  but we'll see :)
The snowfall sounds fun :D

Whilst the Three Broomsticks does sound good, we'll probably just go in there to take some photos. I make enough English food at home :pound: Good to hear at least Pumpkin Juice will be bottled (add that to the Duffs we'll be buying from US), although shame about Butterbeer.

Can't believe that broomstick someone posted from a website cost almost $300. That must make such a huge profit margin - a stick and some carefully arranged twigs secured with a metal band :jaw:

wait the entire budget of Wizarding World is 265 million?!?!

that is like nothing compare to Disney stuffs WHY?!??!

Cars Land is like over 300

and in Tokyo DisneySea, the Tower of Terror cost 250 mill

TOT = a entire Harry Potter land.... crazy....

surely of course DD save them alot of Coaster building money.

WOW... is the US economy bad?

one TOT = a land

COME ON UC, do better than this!!!

the Fantasyland expansion is even more!!!!
Spend more money!! Universal! (maybe alot of the budget money went into Transformers ride)

About Dragons. They've been running 2 trains since it re-opened. Could this mean that the other 2 are being refurbed to look like the Horntail and the Fireball? Speculate.

Since Reveal 1 was about FJ and the grand opening, Reveal 2 was about food, will Reveal 3 be about the shops do you think? Perhaps they will also release whether DC cars and track colour will change from DD?

It's most likely because Universal's budget is no where near the size of Disney's. Even then, Universal has already gone over their budget with this project. They spent extra money to make sure everything was perfect.

Are you disappointed in the results? If they could pull this off with a smaller budget than Disney, good for them.

I would love the trains to actually be themed after the dragons. They should be, considering Universal keeps telling us that you get to "ride" a horntail or fireball. But I doubt it will happen. Hopefully, Universal has a clever explanation.

So we have been hearing that we wont see soft openings until the TM's have a chance to preview. Is this the case with rides only or do they normally have TM's view shops and restauarants as well? We have newly themed rides... would they offer TM's the opportunity to experience these rides prior to soft opening or are we just looking at the FJ ride for TM previews?

I am hoping that we will see a soft opening of the village with FOTH, DC and a walkthrough on the queue for FJ soon! Since the only real NEW ride is FJ maybe this will be the only ride the TM's will preview?

For those of you "in the know" have we heard any word on TM previews yet?!?!?
