People. As I could not think of a good Aprils fools joke myself, and found what mugglenet.com posted. I posted it in a "wow I cannot believe this" kinda way just to help out the joke. There are three of four articles below that, that are also AF jokes. You should go back and read them: JKR's prequel to the prequel, HPDH split into 3 films not two... etc. They are very funny. Again everyone, Happy April 1st, 2010!

Mugglenet has done an April Fools joke on an annual basis for quite awhile now, and they're getting quite good at it. They must be taking lessons from The Onion.

As for snow-
I'm from Michigan and to create "real" snow requires "real cold" temperatures, at least if you want it to remain "snow". Will UO go for the "Oh, it's snowing!" effect, with the white stuff only in the sky, or; the "Look at the snow landing on my hand!" effect? Because their options are limited.

In the mid-summer barbeque of Florida, that snow won't last ten seconds. Instead, you'll have a thick, foggy, moist nastiness. They have to use soap, or else they create more problems for themselves.

Hollywood Studios makes it "snow" using soap, and only in December, when it's cold. Sorry, but the snow in "Hogsmeade" will just be a reminder of the time we were all little and decided to snack on the Dove bar.

Making "real" snow is certainly possible in hot temperatures - but it would require a lot of liquid nitrogen, for example, and that would get expensive. But the real problem would be that the snow would melt before it came anywhere near the ground, and it would just be rain.

The snow will definitely be fake snow, probably using some sort of bubble solution to make really tiny soap bubbles that essentially disappear on impact. If done right, that kind of "snow" is rather effective as the bubbles tend to float like snowflakes. It's probably going to be way more effective at night, however, when you can't see blue sky above, and when the lights can shine down onto the bubbles. I imagine that the illusion of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade will be significantly more effective at night, when the hot Florida sun isn't blazing overhead, and the illusion of being truly at the foot of Hogwarts will be very convincing.
