The new stage looks great. It will make it much easier to watch them, but still no shade.

Thanks BJ! I rest my cocky case... it was not finished at all 2 weeks ago and was in fact a scratch coat... whatever they were painting on then was just temporary. The speakers must be in the bushes now?

Still not convinced it was a scratch coat. I will agree that faux finish was not completed. I'll take a few close-ups of the finish next time I go.

Could the sound be coming out of the crack? Or is that too small/narrow? I'm no sound expert

Please do! The last closeups had areas of even trowel grooves. I feel confident they are no longer there.

At least I think it's new. I don't remember Aragog and Fang plush. Or a sleeping Fluffy. What about Slughorn and Molly Weasley wands?

I think they're pretty new. I remember noticing the Aragog plush figures for the first time in Filches Emporium last time I went (a few weeks ago).

Where is the wand display case? Admittedly I don't spend much time in the shops. D&B?

They better not be finished. The previous rock had a lot of detail. This one seemingly has none. That's not acceptable.

The original rock with its celestial style designs had little bearing on the canon of the books. The the rebuilt rock of three weeks ago was not finished, they knew it was not finished and that is why they placed potted Cedar trees in front of it. While I am not sure why they feel they need a towering rock there at all... it seems obligatory to another story. I assure you... it is finished now, if only because I feel it is 'potter sculpting rules' finished to my eyes.

BTW Harry Potter fans. Did the giant chocolate frog in a magic box window display ever appear in the books or the movies? Or was this Hogsmeade display totally the creation of theme park designers?

I'm not a Potter fan, so I'm not really concerned with the canon. Only with the loss of detail. It looks bland and needless now.

"...And we're going to have some performances over here."

"But there's no stage. How will people know something takes place here?"

"Don't worry about it. We're going to place a monolith in the back there."

"Your idea of getting people's attention is a giant rock?"

"Not a rock. A monolith."

(3 years later)

"Hey guys, we have to build a stage. It just doesn't work with performers at guest level."

"Alright, but we'll have to redo the monolith. That's the old monolith; we need a new monolith."

"Wait, why do we have to redo it? It's just a rock..."

"It's not a rock!"
